PETITE PRINTS NOTEPADS | with Shellye

Gift-giving doesn't have to stop on December 25th! I wasn't able to craft gifts for co-workers before our break, so I whipped up a few handy notepads with a bit of Petite Prints, Doodle Stamps, etc.  Let's get started on this quick project:

I purchased a package of blue notepads from The Dollar Tree.  The pads can be broken apart into five sections (the pad is divided into 5 parts with chipboard sheets).  Next, I took various colors of patterned paper from the Petite Prints-Buffalo Check and cut them into 3.5"X10.25" strips, and then wrapped them around each individual notepad.  The color palette for this month's inspiration is:

Next I stamped all of the cute snowpeople from the "Winter Wonderland" Doodle Stamps with Copic Markers (C00, C0, C2, N4, N6, N8, B21, B23, B24, V12, V15, V17, RV00, RV02, RV04, B000, B01, B02, YR24, YR27) and then die-cut with the matching Doodle Cuts.

The snowpeople were clustered together on die-cuts using the Nesting Scallops Doodle Cuts.  I also used the Borders & Edges Doodle Cuts for creating the scalloped border at the bottom.  Chunky Doodle Twine was adhered around the inner circle and a smaller piece tied onto the "hello" tag!

To the "skies" of each scene, I added various white Shaped Sprinkles to mimic snowfall.  Aren't they precious? :)  Thanks for joining!

PETITE PRINTS TREAT BOXES | with Karen

I love Christmas. But I also really love the few weeks after Christmas - the time when things seem to slow down a bit, I get to catch my breath and get myself all set up and ready for the year ahead. Without any major holidays coming quickly, I always find this is a great time to clean up my crafty space and stock up on some of my essentials - product like Doodlebug's Petite Prints collections and project bases for cards and treat containers! So today, I thought I would feature this great product and show you one of my tricks to staying on top of projects for the year to come!
So, the great thing about the Petite Prints collection (besides all the great patterns) is that all of the colours coordinate with the themed Doodlebug collections. So, I find that this product makes great bases for cards and treat containers like pillow boxes that I can then embellish depending on the season. While I am making one of these generic bases, I always cut out a few and just leave them unfinished and ready to fold as the year goes one. And since the Petite Prints are double sided you get two for one!

For today's project, I went ahead and just decorated them up with some some of my favourite embellishments - DoodleTwine, Jewels and Mini Paper Clips. But later in the year, I may grab one or two and decorate them up with a Valentine's collection or a birthday- themed collection. The base is ready to go and I just get to have fun decorating!
Although I have to say - they are pretty darn cute this way too!

So grab some of your essentials and get yourself all ready for the year ahead - and maybe decorate up a few to give out some treats in January too! heaven knows we could sure use it!  Thanks for stopping by!

LAND THAT I LOVE PARTY FAVORS | with Shellye

Small party or large party? Any sized crowd would love celebrating the 4th of July festivities with a unique party display featuring the "Land That I Love" Collection!

Use any tray that you have on hand and fill with paper food trays, flag topped straws, sparklers, treat cups, wooden spoons, etc.

From my local dollar store, I purchased these food tray/boats.  I re-constructed the boats by turning them into more of a square shape.  Next, I simply wrapped strips of scrapbook paper around the sides. Embellish even further, if you'd like, with die-cuts and stickers...or have those out so guests can decorate their own trays!

Paper treat cups, wooden or plastic utensils are easy things to embellish. For the tops of the wooden spoons, I cut the small hearts (from scrapbook paper sheets) and attached to the handles.
I used the scallop tag die and the new Sunshine alpha stickers to create a little signage.

I picked up a package of these metallic straws at The Dollar Tree!  To embellish, I glued a 2X2 card to the side.  You could also punch holes or cut slits and slide the straws through.

And every tray needs a cute 'lil centerpiece!  Again, another find from The Dollar Tree is this blue glittered star.  I added an easel by hot-gluing a sturdy piece of chipboard to the back. Chunky Twine was added around the star and then I used various die-cuts and stickers to embellish.

Add various washi tapes to the tray so that guests can mark their cups!
There are so many other possibilities and ways to incorporate the cute designs found in this adorable patriotic collections...thanks for joining!

PARTY TIME CARDS & DOODLE STAMPS | with Karen

I remember that when I was little, I was not really a dress up kind of kid. However, one of my favourite shows was a Canadian classic called Mr. Dress Up.
So it might not come as a surprise that although I am still not a dress up kind of gal, I love dressing up my Doodlebug stamps! And with the sweet set called Party Animals that coordinates with the Party Time collection, I can dress up the little characters to my hearts content!
Need a hat to celebrate a party - no problem. There's a stamp for that! Need a balloon to add a little "pop" to a card - yup, it's there too! And how about some wheels to get your characters from one place to another? Take your pick from a wagon or a skateboard!
Take for instance the cutest monkey you ever did see! Use a little stamp masking to add him to a wagon and give him a little party hat and he is all set for a night on the town!
Oh, and a night on the town would not be complete without a little bit of bling! Doodlebug's new Mini Jewels are my latest obsession! These little embellishments are small enough to add some dimension to your stamping...
...and sparkly enough to fill up some empty spaces on your card that need that little bit of "something something". I love these!
So if you are like me and would rather spend the night at home at the crafty table instead of getting all dolled up for a night on the town- you can have the best of both worlds! Send out the party animals for you! Thanks for stopping by!

NSD 2020 - THE CUTEST POP TARTS EVER | with Jennifer

Hello, Doodlebug fans. Just "popping" in to share this fun new project for International Scrapbook Day 2020.  For this piece, I used the adorable pastry and toaster file from the So Punny collection, and I love how it turned out.

For the front and sides of the toaster, I used a combination of prints from the Love Notes collection. The floral print is quite busy, so to help the face standout, a white shape outlined with some chunky twine was applied, then the eyes, mouth, and cheeks were added.

Don't these pop-tarts look yummy? I used cardstock to create them, then mounted them to foam board. A scalloped border was glued around the sides of each pop-tart to finish them off.

A toaster is useless without a plug. So I decided to add one. Two strands of chunky twine glued together created the cord. Layers of chipboard make up the plug.
Thanks for joining me today and have fun scrapping on NSD 2020

I❤️TRAVEL MINI ALBUM | with Traci

I have had so much fun playing with the I❤️TRAVEL collection this summer! I've created books for a cruise, a road trip, and another vacation, but I needed a smaller album for a trip I have coming up in a few weeks. This one will be perfect.
I'm headed to Aruba this month, and since I have been several times, I won't be taking as many pictures as I did the first few trips.  This smaller album (by Prima) is the perfect size because I can get about 25 photos tucked in around these adorable embellishments.
Seriously, how cute is that little camera!!
I used  6x6 paper for this album, and I love the tiny little cards on one of the sheets.  I cut them up and added them across the bottom of a pocket.  CUTE!!
You'll see lots of dot/stripe petite prints throughout this album too.  The fact that I can easily match these prints to every Doodlebug collection just makes me so happy!
There are some more of those precious little cards on this folding page.
You know me ... I sneak chunky twine into every project somehow! That adorable tag is from the Odds & Ends Travel Tag package ... love these! I always get the question, is this available as a kit in your Etsy shop and for this one I can happily tell you yes!  You can get all the details on my blog over at Artsy Albums.   Thank you for letting me share with you today!

DOODLE-POPS CHRISTMAS IN JULY TAGS | with Nathalie

Since I have been having so much fun with the Christmas Town collection this month, I am back today with another Christmas in July project. I decided to create a series of gift tags featuring Doodle-pops which are truly perfect for cards and tags. Not only do they add instant depth to your projects but they are always super cute!

I started with basic cardstock in five different colors which I cut into tags manually (measuring 2.5x4.75 inches). I also picked 5 packs of Doodle-pops, one for each tag.
I then decorated each tags with a mix of patterned papers, all from the 6x6 Christmas Town stack, stickers, die-cuts from the same collection and various embellishments. I worked on each one individually as I wanted them to look different.

I also paid special attention to textures and dimension adhering some of the stickers and sentiments on foam dots, using sequins and heart Sprinkles, and adding cute paperclips or clothespin. My most used metal die is the hole reinforcer from the Pill Better set and I pulled it out again to cut some out of patterned paper (see above). I love them so much better than plain office ones!

Matching chunky twines finish the look. I am so happy with these tags! They will adorn simply wrapped Christmas presents beautifully! Of course, they would also make a great gift by themselves!

Thank you for stopping by! As always, if you have questions, you can contact me via my blog or Instagram account. Happy crafting!
