HEY PUMPKIN INTERACTIVE HALLOWEEN PAGE | with Inessa

I'm back with another fun Halloween project featuring the adorable Hey Pumpkin collection from Doodlebug Design!

For today's layout, I wanted to create something a little different by adding some interactive flaps that open up to reveal extra space for photos and journaling. It's such a fun way to document more memories without overcrowding your page!

I started with a black patterned paper for my background, which really makes all those colorful elements pop! I then selected six of the adorable 3x4 cards from the collection and arranged them in two rows of three. I love mixing the different patterns, colors, and designs to create a fun grid-style layout.

Here's where the fun begins! Instead of simply adhering the 3x4 cards to my background, I turned them into little flaps that can be lifted to reveal hidden photos and journaling underneath. This is one of my favorite ways to add an interactive element to a scrapbook page, especially when I have lots of photos from a special event but still want to keep the design clean and organized.

For my title, I used the large, colorful Halloween title across the top of the page and layered a few sweet treats around it for extra dimension. I also added some fun shape sprinkles, doodle-pops, and colorful enamel sprinkles throughout the layout. The little gumball machine, cupcake, spiderweb, and adorable Halloween characters are just too cute!

I finished everything off with a little machine stitching around the edges of the background for added texture and that extra handmade touch I love so much.

What I love most about this layout is that it looks like a fun collection of Halloween cards at first glance, but each flap holds a little surprise! It's perfect for documenting trick-or-treating adventures, Halloween parties, or any of those sweet and spooky memories you want to preserve.
