2016 Design Team Introduction: Courtney Lee

What makes me so happy is getting text messages that someone got one of my hand made cards in the mail. With all of our technology snail mail is just about obsolete. I love carrying on the tradition of sending hand made cards for just about any occasion and try to do it as often as possible. I also love home decor. I’m generally new to it and find putting it out where I can see it to be so very rewarding. I love building things for the girls to play with or things to decorate their door for the seasons. I love the cutesy style of Doodlebug. With 3 little girls at or under 3 years old we are all about the cutesy in this house! I enjoy critters and the outdoors and love that doodlebug does such an amazing job bringing these characters into production in such a way that I want to put them all over my house! When someone comes in my door the first thing they see is my doodlebug key holder. I was blessed enough to be on the 2014 doodlebug design team and I can say with certainty that Doodlebug is my favorite product to work with hands down.

I am a 30-something mommy of 3 little girls! Emmaline is 3, Charlotte Rose is 20 months, and baby girl born last week on 12/26 and they make my world go around. I have an amazing husband who is so proud of my crafting and is infinitely supportive. We live in Carmel, California with our little dog named Spoon. I have been blessed to be on many design teams, but my favorite product is doodlebug. I was lucky enough to be on the 2014 Design Team. I love shaped cards, home decor, doodle-pops, shaped sprinkles, sugar coated anything, and 3-d objects. I also love gardening, fro-yo, boba, walking along the beach, and traveling.

Here's some other amazing "creations" from Courtney....

2016 Design Team Introduction: Corri Garza

My name is Corri and I am a stay at mom with 11 year old twins and a six year old.  I started paper crafting in 2009 when I got a Cricut machine at a black Friday sale.  I started playing around with it and was hooked!  I fell in love with die cutting and love creating cards, bags, boxes, altered items, and scrapbook pages.     I love creating with bright colors, cute characters, and punny sentiments.   These things all work well with your fun and bright collections.

2016 Design Team Introduction: Christine Meyer

I am Christine Meyer, mom to three rowdy boys and one sweet girl.  We live in rural Northern Illinois where my husband serves as a Pastor.  Prior to living here I have lived in California, Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri.  I'm thankful to have lived in one place now for awhile!  I teach music part time and the rest of the time I stay home with my youngest children.  I love sports, music, cooking, and scrapbooking.  Working in the scrapbooking industry has been so much fun and a great way to get to know people from around the world with a common interest!

I love scrapbooking because it allows me the chance to just be Christine.  I am a busy mom and because of my husband's career my family lives a very public life.  Scrapbooking allows me the chance to express myself in a creative way and just be known for that.  It also allows me to just have some fun at the end of the day that I wouldn't otherwise make time for!  I have long been a fan of Doodlebug's vibrant color palette, fun designs, and product variety.  I have never found a Doodlebug product that I don't love. That translates to projects that I love and projects that make me happy to look at. My style is best described as bright and detailed with clean lines and usually a clever twist on a product.  I think that fits well with the Doodlebug product style!  I would like to be a design team member because I think I can showcase your products in a way that stays true to what they are but also add some clever twists to them, inspiring your fans to use them in even more ways than they might expect.  I truly love your product and would be honored to work with it in a design team member capacity.

Slam Dunk Collection: Pre-Game Gift By Wendy Sue Anderson

Hi friends!  It's my very last project share of the year here on the Doodlebug blog and I'm happy to share another fun little gift project I created for a special kiddo!  Basketball season is underway, so this decorated water bottle, and a little note of encouragement will definitely come in handy soon!

The Slam Dunk collection is full of coordinating goodies - it really makes putting together themed gifts and projects really (really, really, really) easy!  Isn't the doodletape awesome?  It's one of my favorite parts of these sports collections - and I love that it lasts forever - I can make projects for the whole season (or the whole team) with it!!

I especially love these fun little shaped sprinkles - the basketball just looks like it's going to bounce right off the water bottle!

I don't think anyone can ever hear nice words enough - so a quick little pre-game note of enouragement is always a good idea!  This is just a 4x4 card mounted on a quick cardstock card base.  I added letter stickers and one little sticker - quick and easy!

Couldn't pass up the chance to make one more little tag for the bottle!  The doodle-pop basketball is darling!

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today - I hope you're finding lots of inspiration for all of the basketball players in your life!

Slam Dunk Collection: Basketball Hanging Mobile by Jennifer

Hello Doodlebug fans! Jennifer here and today I'm sharing a project using Doodlebug's new Slam Dunk collection. For this project I decided to try making a fun hanging mobile, for a basketball fan I know.
For the ring of the mobile, the outer edge of a round paper mache box lid was used. The ring was covered on both sides with patterned papers from the collection.
Chunky white twine was also used on the outside of the ring to add a little texture.
For the title of the piece, the word "shoot" was cut from patterned paper and attached to a hand cut flag, additional basketballs were mounted to chipboard and glued to the word, along with star stickers.
The flag was then attached to the front of the ring.
To hold the ring, die-cuts and chipboard pieces together a super strong bead weaving thread was used. Here are some close-ups of the finished mobile.
Thanks for checking out my project.  Happy Crafting! Jennifer

Slam Dunk Collection: Basketball Mini album by Traci Penrod

Hi everyone!  It's Traci, back to share another mini album with you.  This time, I used the new Slam Dunk Collection.   When the boys were young, they both played basketball, but as they grew up, they didn't quite grow UP enough (ha ha) so basketball didn't become their thing. Still, we always had a hoop on our driveway and they enjoyed playing pick-up games with the neighborhood kids.  This little album will be perfect for saving all of those fun memories.
I used one of Doodlebug's tabbed chipboard mini albums and loaded up the cover with paper from the  Slam Dunk 6x6 paper pad.   The large circle was cut from the back of a 'game stripe' 12x12 sheet.
I love the smaller prints in the 6x6 pads, and the little versions of the cut-apart cards are perfect for mini albums.  The "Love the Game" piece is a 4x6 card on the 12x12 sheet, but fits perfectly at 2x3 from the smaller paper pad.
But don't ignore the larger 4x6 cards for mini albums!  As you can see above, I used one on the left side of this layout by just trimming two of the sides down a bit.
I love the die-cut basketball flying off the top of the album ... and although not shown well in this photo, the right side page has a card that flips up to add photos inside.  I added a few number stickers to the jersey.  Mine represents the year, but it's even more fun to add your player's number!
Finally, none of my projects are complete without enamel dots and sprinkles. Doodlebug has lots of fun enamel shapes ... the stars were perfect for this album. I hope you've enjoyed seeing a few pages from my basketball mini!  If you'd like to see a few more of the pages, please hop over to my blog at Artsy Albums. Thanks for leaving your comments -- I love to read them!
