MADE WITH LOVE | RECIPE SCRAPBOOK ALBUM

Hi Doodlebug fans and TGIF!  Last week I featured a new album kit over on my Artsy Albums site and I wanted to share it here with all of you.  The new Made With Love collection is absolutely perfect for a recipe scrapbook album!

First, let's talk about this sweet collection. The colors are so fresh and happy -- pistachio, lemon, cupcake, bubblegum, and cherry!  Sounds like a recipe album already.

We all have recipe albums ... but is your this cute??  Look at those smiling faces on all the precious bowls and spoons!  I turned this one into a scrapbooking recipe album to include pictures AND recipes.  The odds and ends below are sure to make you smile every time you search for a recipe!

I'm going to include pictures of me and my granddaughter baking cookies and topping pizzas.  Photos of my sister and I making Christmas cookies will also be perfect tucked into the pockets along with those adorable journaling cards.

You all know how happy Doodlebug plaid makes me .... was there ever a prettier one than the pattern below?  Swoon!!!  (I know, I know, they are all great ... I agree!)

All of those darling utensils are just waiting for us to get crafty with them!  And that pie server is winking at us!!!  CUTE!!

The cute icons show back up together on the cute cupboard above.  Such a sweet addition to any crafty recipe or kitchen project. One of my favorite things in this collection is a full pad of 4x6 recipe cards!  36 cute cards that match the fun papers and embellies.  Love it!!

MADE WITH LOVE SMILE LAYOUT | with Erica

Mixing and matching pattern papers is one of my favorite things to do! I love flipping through the Doodlebug Design 6x6 paper pads and picking out the perfect papers to use on my page. For my layout today I am using the gorgeous new Made With Love collection from Doodlebug Design.
I used the Made with Love 6x6 paper pack to back a Bella Blvd cut out. The colors in this collection are so sweet and the patterns are beautiful and fun!

The pattern papers from the Made with Love collection worked perfectly to enhance the individual letters of the cut out. I had three photos I took sharing some yummy Valentine sugar cookies that were perfect for this layout as they coordinated so well with the papers.
To help the photos stand out a little from the page I added a pink pattern paper mat. I used this same pattern paper in one of the letters I used to back the cut and also to mat my white 11x11 cardstock.
I tucked in some floral die cuts from the Made with Love odds & ends. I did fussy cut the white border around the die cuts and cut them in half to help spread them out around my page. I really wanted to use some of the adorable mini icon stickers so I created a sub title using a banner sticker from the 12x12 Made with Love sticker sheet. I tucked in some of the cute baking supplies above the banner. I think they just look adorable with their sweet faces!
I love to finish off my layouts with some Doodlebug Design Sprinkles. I used some of the pink sprinkles to help tie in all the pink in the layout. I just love how simple this page is but love all the little details. Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed my layout today made with the new Made with Love collection.

MADE WITH LOVE SHADOW BOX CARDS | with Kathy

I am so excited to be kicking off a few weeks of Made with Love inspiration!  If you haven't taken a good look at this collection, you're missing out!  It's full of great patterns and colors and the cutest little baking related icons!  It's perfect for Valentine's Day and beyond!  I had so many ideas streaming through my head... I finally decided to create some fun shadowbox cards.  Take a peek...

I always love making little scenes with the Doodlebug Icons... you can use the Icon Stickers, Odds & Ends or the Mini Icon Stickers to create the cutest little scenes.  For my first card, I used the stickers from the Mini Icon Stickers to create a little kitchen scene.

I'm torn as to what my favorite icon is... the mixer, the cupcakes... that little egg, oh wait, the sprinkles bottle.. they are all beyond cute.  I layered them all in a kitchen scene.   I used some buffalo check woodgrain petite prints for my cabinets and used papers from the Made with Love 6x6 pad... I love how the patterns are scaled down.  They are perfect for cardmaking!  I finished the card with a sentiment from the chit chat pieces and some of the little sprinkle hearts from the With All My Heart Shaped Sprinkles.

I used the cupcakes and streamers from the Odds & Ends pack to create my next little scene.  Their little sprinkles just make me smile!  I used two of my favorite papers from the 6x6 pad... the cinnamon hearts paper in the background and the cake plaider paper.  Doodlebug plaids are my absolute favorites!!  Again I finished the card with a sentiment from the chit chat pieces and some of the little sprinkle hearts from the With All My Heart Shaped Sprinkles.

Have you made anything with the Made with Love Collection?  Be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook & Instagram... we LOVE to see what you create!  That's it for me today, be sure to stop by over the next few weeks for more Made with Love inspiration from the Design Team!  Thanks for stopping by to peek!

VALENTINE MAILBOXES | with Stephanie

Hello Doodlebug friends! Stephanie here, sharing two little Valentine Mailboxes featuring lots of lovely Doodlebug colors, textures and images! It’s been a few years since my kids have made Valentines for classmates and friends, but I still love creating projects for this fun holiday! Here’s a look at my project for today.

I used my Silhouette machine to cut this mailbox from Lori Whitlock.  For the main part of the boxes I used Wood Grain/Buffalo Check petite prints in Pistachio and Bubblegum. The accent colors and images are all from the Love Notes collection. I added some heart shaped Sprinkles in a few places for a little shine.

The cut file comes with a tiny envelope that fits into the opening. How cute is that?

Here’s a look at the second box.  All the images I used to embellish my boxes are die cuts from the Love Notes Chit Chat and Odds and Ends packs.

Surprise, the little door opens and you can pull out the notes.

If you are looking for an adorable little box to give or receive some fun Valentine’s, this is it! That’s it for my project share, thanks for stopping by today!

VALENTINE'S EXPLOSION BOX | with Traci

Hello friends!  I have a really fun project to share with you today!  I was trying to come up with some different ideas for my Valentine gifts this year and I found this adorable explosion box on Lori Whitlock's site.  I paired the cutting file with some adorable Doodlebug petite prints and how stinkin' cute is this!?

I used petite prints for most of the project, but I threw in a cute pattern from the Love Notes collection for the front of the birdhouse.  Doodlebug plaids always make me happy!

The roof is pistachio (my fave doodlebug color these days) buffalo check/woodgrain and the dot print is my second favorite color (cherry)!  Who am I kidding ... ALL Doodlebug colors are my favorite.  That sweet little bird on the front can be found hanging out with the DoodlePop Hen and Chick :) and the heart is a DoodlePop called Be Mine.

When you open the explosion box, a fun little bird is hanging out inside, along with two pockets made of lemon linen (that's fun to say, LOL) that would be cute for pictures, notes, or gift cards!

So if you'd like to wow someone this Valentine's Day (or birthday, or any occasion!) you can find Lori's explosion box cutting file here .  Add a few petite prints, your favorite Doodlebug patterns, and some DoodlePops or Odds and Ends and you'll have a darling gift in no time!  Thanks so much for stopping by! Please share your projects with us on Facebook and Instagram @doodlebugdesigninc.

TAG GIFT CARD HOLDERS | with Shellye

Treat your friends, co-workers, and family to these cute 'n easy Tag Gift Card Holders!

I started with two different sized premade tags (3"X6" and 2.5"X5.25").  The bottoms of the tags were scored and folded up (red- 2.25" flap and white-1.25"flap). Make sure that the final length of your tag can accommodate a gift card.  Paper gussets were used to attach the flap to the base of the tag. I also corner rounded the bottom edges!

To the pockets, I added either a small strip of paper or a die-cut.  I also lined the top of the red tag's pocket with a strip of washi tape.

I used the "Pumpkin Spice" Doodle stamps and copic markers to color in the drink cups.  Sentiments from the set were also used to stamp onto the die-cut tags and pocket front!

The tops of the tags were embellished with handmade bows and chunky twine for hanging!
After tucking in a gift card, add the tag to a bag filled with k-cups, a mug handle or a small bottle of creamer :)  Thanks for joining!

APRON GIFT CARD HOLDER | with Kathy

I have always loved cooking, and my daughter has inherited that love.  She will be moving to NYC in a couple of months to work and do some post grad schooling, and she's very excited to have her own kitchen.  I thought it would be fun to give her a gift card for kitchen stuff, and wanted to "package" it up in a cute way.  I came up with this fun card, take a peek...

I cut the apron using some dies in my stash and some Pistachio Petite prints.  I stitched around the edges and stitched on the pocket.

To decorate, I added some Odds & Ends from the Simply Spring and Bundle of Joy Collections.  For my sentiment, I used the All Occasion Doodle Stamps.

A little ribbon for the ties and done!  I know she will be excited to get some goodies for her kitchen! That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

BIRTHDAY CARDS | with Karen

One of my favourite things about this time of year is my "free crafting" time. There are no pressures for upcoming holidays so I can just grab some of my favourite supplies and play. Birthday cards and general greetings cards are always needed to for my card stash so they are fun projects to create just when I feel like getting a little crafty.

Last year, Doodlebug launched a fun woodland creature-winter themed collection called Winter Wonderland. It is still one of my favourites. And it is a perfect fit with the awesome Petite Prints Buffalo Check-Wood Grain Collection so I decided to do a little mix and match.

The Petite Prints were the perfect base for my cards! To create a little more contrast, I went into my craft stash and found some little leftovers I had from the Cream and Sugar collection so I used those to back my sentiments.

And then the fun began! Out came the Forest Friends and Winter Wonderland stamp sets. Coloured up with alcohol markers to match the colour scheme I was using, these still remain to be some of my favourite stamps ever created by Doodlebug.

I hope you have some time right now to craft just for the fun of it! May your crafty stash and spirits benefit!

Thanks for stopping by!

PETITE PRINTS EXPLOSION BOXES | with Stephanie

Hello friends, Stephanie here today sharing two Winter themed Exploding Box cards I made using a few Doodlebug basics.  I used this cut file and my Silhouette machine as well as some Petite Prints and pattern papers to cut the boxes. I used Sunshine Alphabet stickers to create the greetings inside.

Here is an up close look at the boxes before opening them and revealing what’s inside.

For the first box I went with a Birthday theme. I cut a framed scallop circle using Doodlebug’s largest nesting scallop die and a sentiment from the Winter Wonderland Forest Friends stamp set with the cutest Moose (named Bruce) Doodle Pop sticker for the top.

When you remove the lid from the top, the box “explodes” open revealing a Birthday greeting. The digital cut file has four layers to it (plus the lid), so you could go all out decorating each one, but I kept my layers fairly simple. For my first, bottom layer I used a pretty floral pattern from the Winter Wonderland collection with subsequent layers using coordinating petite prints. I wanted my Happy, Happy Birthday message to be part of the main focal point and I used white and pink Sunshine Alphabet stickers for that.

Open the tiny blue envelope in the middle to reveal the cute images and final message inside.

The second box features the cutest yeti and 'Sending Love Your Way' and 'Love You Big Time' messages.

I think these exploding boxes turned out really cute. My daughter suggested putting little treats inside which would be fun too.  Open the box to reveal treats AND happy little greetings. Well, that does it for my project share. As always, thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
