Sibling Love Layout & Sketch | with Virginia

A layout sketch is a great way to kick off your creative foundation for your scrapbook page.  You can either follow a sketch closely or use an element in the sketch for inspiration.  In this sketch created by Becky Fleck of Pagemaps, I was drawn to the 7 grid design and used this as the basis for my layout.  I opted to substitute the two placement of photos in the vertical column for a journaling and embellishment blocks.

In addition to the beautiful pattern papers in the Hello collection, I chose the yellow Petite Prints papers as the base for my page.  It's a great alternative to using cardstock and they are available in all sorts of delicious Doodlebug colors!

Check out the awesome Polaroid doodepop, the photo print out is so life like, love love love! In my title I opted to keep some of the negative fillers in my letters, just a fun way to make it a little different.

I think I've mentioned this before I am so crushing on this Hello collection, this collection is wonderful to scrapbook any occasion.  I love the teal and navy combination and the shine of gold foil is the icing on the cake!

"Hello" Birthday Cake and Card | with Nathalie

I have been wanting to make a chocolate nugget cake for years and a perfect reason to do so just came up: I needed a gift for a birthday party I am going to tonight and since my friend's name is derived from the word "flower" in French, I immediately thought about the "Hello" collection.

The concept is not mine and if you'd like to make one yourself, just search for "nugget cake tutorial". You will find many versions. I looked at several to make my own.
I wrapped all the (Hershey) chocolate nuggets with patterned papers from the "Hello" 6x6 paper pad. The navy paper on the base is also from that pad. Several Doodlebug doilies (over strong cardstock) separate each tier.
For the topper, I used a Doodle-Pop (pink flower in the forefront) and added many die-cuts from the Odds & Ends pack. The birthday banner comes from the Chit Chat pack (all from the "Hello" collection). There are three straws that support everything. The key here was to create depth with many layers.
To finish off, I added my friend's name with some Abigail alpha stickers on the second tier of the cake, tied some chunky twine around the top tier and made a quick card to match (keeping it simple so that it wouldn't take away from the cake). I absolutely love the gold foil touches in the paper, the banner and the flowers!!! They go so well with the chocolates!
... I can not wait to see her reaction!

Do not hesitate to leave me questions in the comments! Happy crafting!

Generations Layout | with Kathy

I will admit, I usually take selfies that are less than flattering. I just don't have the knack. It's so bad that  my college-aged daughter won't let me take the picture if she is a part of it.  But every once in a while, one of those silly selfies becomes my favorite picture!  That's what happened with this group selfie featuring me, along with my mom and daughter.
Hello was the perfect collection to document this sweet moment!  The colors, the hints of gold and the pretty flowers perfectly complement my photo!  I started with the Beautiful Blooms and the Poppy Plaid papers to back my picture, my two favorites!

I used a lot of flowers from the Odds & Ends collection to embellish as well as a couple of items from the Chit Chats Pack.  I popped them up with some foam tape to add dimension.
I just love the acetate pieces in the Odds and Ends Pack!  I finished up my layout by scattering some of the flowers from the Pink Poppy Doodlepop and adding my title using some Bubblegum Abigail Font Stickers.
That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

Graduation Gift Set | with Brigit

Hello's versatility makes it a great collection to use for so many different occasions.  I love the bright bold colors with touches of gold throughout, very classy, which made it the perfect collection to use for this fun graduation gift set.

I used one of the cards from the Hello cards and envelopes pack and the matchbook suitcase svg file from Lori Whitlock's shop. I filled the suitcase with some Hershey nuggets decorated with hello there paper and hello washi tape.

The card is decorated with the hello world doodle-pops and some stickers from the hello icons sticker sheet. The sticker on the matching envelope is from the hello mini icons sheet.

For the suitcase, I used hello there, beautiful blossoms and strike a pose 12 x 12 paper. The cute phone is from the hello icons sticker and arrow and heart from the hello mini icons sheet, it's tied to the handle with some bubblegum doodle twine.

That's for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Hello | Planner Pages with Jennie

As soon as I opened the new Hello collection I was eager to get stuck into my planner pages as it looked so sunny and cheerful - especially with these photos. I’m so excited with how these pages came out!

How cute are the cameras? They are pretty much the perfect accent for memory planning. AND I love the various patterns and how they tie together so well!

The various pieces in the Chit Chat *always* excite me. I love adding text that’s playful and says what I’m thinking. And layering it here?! It’s perfect with my photos!

How are you using the Hello collection in your planner? I’m off to create another fun layout using those beautiful images & jewel tones!

Sweet Summer | Travellers Notebook with Jennie

Working with bright and fun colors and icons really gets you in the mood for Summer planners. I just love the Sweet Summer collection for this very reason! The colors and patters are so perfect for the travelers notebook that I was working on.
I knew I wanted the title to stand out, with a doily and sticker it was easy to create a focal point. I love the layering of these two! The black alpha stickers create amazing contrast that I just love!

It was important to add a few embellishments (though not too many) to highlight the photo. The sun matched the theme of the page perfectly.
This just makes me swoon. The cute tab detail!!? How fun is that? And that Jelly Clip? It just matches the theme of the page perfectly!
I just couldn’t stop, I was having g so much fun. Do, I had to whip up a single page in the same travelers notebook. I stuck to a more blue color palette and I love it! How fun is it mixed with the yellow? And what about the combo of the alphabet stickers? Isn’t that fun?
Are you planning all of the fun you can create with Sweet Summer? I can’t wait to do more!

Sweet Summer | Ice-Cream layout using cut files with Virginia

The saying 'I scream for ice cream!' truly captions the photos of these cute giggling girls enjoying their ice cream treats!  I thought it would be fun to turn the photos into ice cream cones and the ice cream cutting file from the Sweet Summer collection was perfect!

Using the speech bubbles from the Chit Chat ephemera pack and adding shaped sprinkles is a great way to 'shout out' phrases to support the fun mood of the page.

I opted to split the large sticker tag and used each half separately to change up the phrase.  By splitting the sticker tag you can layer different embellishments to create one large title cluster.

I hope this ice cream page inspires you to turn your photos into yummy treats!
