PETITE PRINTS SPRING CARDS | with Wanda

Hello Doodlebug Friends! Wanda here with some cards for Spring, inspired by one of my most favorite Doodlebug items: Gingham Petite Prints! For years and years it has been a staple item in my craft room. I have a stack about four inches thick! It comes in both 6x6 and 12x12 and I use it on everything! Today I was inspired by the coming of Spring so I created cards with sunflowers and rainbows... And super happy colors. The small prints from Doodlebug (gingham, stripes, dots, etc.) can so easily work as 'neutrals' in place of plain cardstock. Try it sometime! I love this look and I really love to make die cut cards.

For my sunflower card I used the Doodle Cuts Nesting Scallop Dies and the Doodle Cuts Hello There Dies. The flowers and leaves were all die cut from the 6x6 Gingham Paper Pad. The finished card is an A2 Kraft Cardstock base. I layered Florals, vellum and white....

Here is a close up of my paper layers. I used LOTS of white gel pen accents to add visual interest to the gingham paper. I added a small embellishment I made with two Doodlebug Buttons and Doodlebug Twine. Oh, and I love to add hearts to my projects, so there are a few hearts and Sprinkles too!

A

For my 'hello' sentiment I stacked two die cuts made with black cardstock and then added white accents to them too. I attached to flowers to the card using foam tape so they pop right off the card. You could use this same card layout and make the flowers any color to match your theme or favorite color. I just happen to really love sunflowers!

My next card is a gingham rainbow! The finished card is a white A2 card base. I used the AMAZING Doodlebug Raindrops Vellum paper as my background layer. (This paper has shiny raised raindrops and it's so pretty), then a layer of white. I die cut the rainbow stripes and attached them to the card. I used the Hello There Doodle Cuts to make those fluffy clouds and the hearts.

A

I generously sprinkled paper hearts and Mini Jewels all around the rainbow!

I absolutely adore this sentiment from the Cute And Crafty Clear Stamp Set. I stamped it in black ink directly onto one of the clouds. It fit perfectly! This would be a fun card to give your creative friends!

That's it for me today! Get out your supplies and create! Have a great week and I'll see you back here soon!

LOTS OF LOVE TAG MINI ALBUM | with Ashley

Hi All! Today I am sharing a little project highlighting the Bits & Pieces ephemera packs. There are similar items in any collection, but I used Lots of Love to make a tag mini album.

I started with the tags from the pack to be the base of the pages of the album.

I used the flowers and tabs from the pack to add layering and details. I popped up the individual pieces with foam tape to create more dimension.

I also used elements from the Odds & Ends ephemera pack and the mini icon stickers for embellishing.

Each tag is one sided which is perfect for adding photos and journaling to the back.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

LOTS OF LOVE TAG MINI ALBUM | with Lisa

Do you ever go through a collection and see one of the papers and then immediately know what you want to do with it? Well that happened to me with this project... :) I knew right away what I wanted to create with the Lots of Love Just for You tags patterned paper and how I wanted it to look...

This was a super easy project because you have the inside pages of the mini album, by just cutting apart the tags on the Just for you patterned paper sheet... So after I did that, I measured the tags to see how big my cover and back would need to be.

Then I cut out the necessary piece of paper from the pretty pink hearts side of the Love You Bunches paper and also two rectangular pieces of chipboard, to have a sturdy cover and back. I put everything together and folded the long rectangular piece in two spots to create the cover, spine and back.

To make the inside prettier and hide the chipboard, I added a piece of the Forever Flowers paper, after sandwiching a piece of glitter tulle between chipboard and patterned paper to have something to close the album shut in the end.

To add the pages inside the album, I used a metal ring and hot-glued it to the back piece of the album. I then added all of the tags that I had previously decorated with all the prettiness of the Odds & Ends pieces, stickers, Doodle-Pops, enamel dots...

Here are some of the pages...

At the back of each tag, you can add photos and text.

The last step was decorating the cover and adding some beads and a tassel...

To embellish the cover, I used some of the flowers from the Bits and Pieces that I layered and added a tiny pompom on top. I also used the word LOVE YOU from one of the Doodle-Pops.
Then I took an elastic string in pink and added beads and charms. I wrapped it around the spine three times and made a knot on the inside of the album.

I also made a tassel using the same beads and charms and attached it to the metal ring.

I really love how cute it looks.  Even if Valentine's Day is over, that doesn't mean we can't say "I love you" anymore right? And this is a super cute gift for everyone to whom you want to tell you love them.

Thank you so much for stopping by... LOVE YOU guys... ;)

LOTS OF LOVE FRIENDS LAYOUT | with Miguel

Capturing moments is undoubtedly something wonderful since, over time, looking at them makes you immediately transport yourself to that moment and live it again.  I captured a special moment with friends on this "Valentine's Day" so I decided to document this photo with my friends in a layout to remember this moment of joy and fun.

Using doodlebug's Lots of Love collection, I made a heart in the center of the page using the 6x6 paper as smaller designs look better in the composition.  I cut squares and triangles to make the heart shape.

I added odds & ends and chit chat pieces to decorate and add some titles. I added sprinkles in the heart shapes on the upper cloud, giving shine to the rain that falls from the cloud. I love this piece!!!!

I added other sprinkles to icons on the rest of the layout. The same idea as with the rainbow.  I love that they give more expression to the little faces!

I say goodbye as always, hoping my work will give you lots of inspiration, thanks for stopping by ! Greetings!

LET IT SNOW TRAVELER'S NOTEBOOK PAGES | with Nathalie

One of my favorite ways to document my everyday moments are small format pocket pages.  I keep Traveler Notebook albums filled with memories of the small things.   This format allows me to document my memories in style; so, I reached for Let it Now to document the latest Snow-mageddon here in Toronto.

I started by enlarging one of the photos to 5x8.25( the size of the pages), and matching it with an instax size pocket protector.   Chit Chat pieces make perfect titles, all you need is a bit of foam adhesive to make them pop from the page.

The tags in the Bits and Pieces pack fit perfectly in the pockets, so I am using one to add my journaling.  The small print in the 6x6 paper pad is perfect to create cards for the pockets.  Once again, I reached for some foam adhesive to add my embellishments outside of the pocket.

Since our snow storm was immense, I had to use the back of this spread to share the  aftermath of the 45cm of snow.

I tried to follow the same recipe as the previous page, and added some of the embellishments outside of the pocket. I love adding tactile elements to my spreads.

This time I am using patterned paper for the base of my layout ( I am using the stripe design in the tag to have a cohesive spread), and a smaller photo.  I am using the same paper as the small card to back my photo, then once again using one of the Bits and Pieces labels to add my journal lines.

A few more embellishments just complement the story.   Simple, easy, but filled with Doodlebug cuteness!! I hope this inspires you to use your Doodlebug goodies to document your stories regardless of the format.   XO

LOTS OF LOVE RAINBOW GIFT SET | with Kathy

We are having glimpses of spring here in New England... some warmer days and sunshine (also some snow and sleet.... but it is New England...).  I even saw a rainbow the other day, which made me very happy!  It inspired me to make a fun gift set featuring the Lots of Love Collection and SVG Files.  Take a peek...

I was inspired by the cute rainbow and rainbow envelope icons in the collection.  I love that this collection is so much more than a Valentine themed collection, it carries right into spring!

My envelope box card was inspired by the Lots of Love Envelope Rainbow SVG.  For the card base I edited this file from Lori Whitlock, then added the rainbow and cute little face to the card.  I finished it with some Odds & Ends and a Chit Chat speech bubble.

My rainbow box was made by creating a small open-top box and sizing the Lots of Love Rainbow 3 SVG to cover both sides.  I added a cloud from the Odds & Ends filled it with some gold wrapped truffles that I managed not to eat before my photo shoot, lol.

That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

LET IT SNOW MINI ALBUM | with Traci

Happy Thursday friends!  Although it's only snowed here in Georgia once this winter, I know some of you are knee deep (or more!) in the powdery stuff.  So if you have some winter memories to document, I have a simple, but fun little mini album to share with you today!

I love the round shape and cute little size (4.5"x4.5") of this mini.  I used a cutting file from Doodlebug's Let It Snow collection that you can find here, and although I used white acrylic for my covers, you could easily use white card stock.

I covered each card stock page with adorable patterns from Let It Snow, left some pages for photos, and embellished others ... like the cute little 3.5" scallop circle above.  The journaling spots were cut from the 6x6 paper pad.  That little waving snowperson from the icon stickers is SO cute!

And speaking of cute, those little penguins might be my all-time favorite with their little round heads that are so much bigger than their equally cute little bodies.

Two photos can be added inside this little flippie, and I love the unexpected black and white stripe pattern in the collection!  A perfect contrast with the other colors and prints!

I think a picture will look so cute on that petite print gingham mat.  Hello little walrus ... you're pretty cute too!

For this page, I made a little pocket to tuck in a few Bits & Pieces tags.  I tied double twine bows on each, and think they will be perfect for small photos and journaling.

I wonder how many times I used the word 'cute' in this post .... hmmmmm, a lot!  But how can a Doodlebug project not be described as cute?  Impossible! Lol.  Well, I hope I've inspired you with some cuteness today!  And remember, lots of cutting files would look adorable cut into the center of a circle, so have fun thinking "outside of the box" and make your next mini a round one!
