BUTTERFLY KISSES DOUBLE PAGE LAYOUT | with Traci

Hi everyone!  Today I'm sharing a recent double page layout that I made using Butterfly Kisses.  When this collection was introduced, I said what I always say, this might be my favorite Doodlebug collection ever! LOL!  I just love it!  I'm a huge fan of flowers and butterflies, and the colors in this line are beautiful!  Pistachio and Bubblegum?  Yes please!!

I added a little bit of Bunny Hop to this spring inspired page too (the May Flowers sheet) but that gorgeous stripe, called Happy Thoughts, is Butterfly Kisses and so are all of those adorable odds & Ends die cut pieces and that bold border across the top (Rainbows End).

For the first page, I wanted to use the Odds & Ends to create a pretty scene below my pictures.  I used pop dots to make each of the flower and bird pieces pop off the page.  Aren't they cute??!!

For the companion page, I carried the stripe across the bottom of the page, and added two more photo mats at the top.  The design is simple, but it keeps the focus on the photos and another adorable scene at the bottom of the page.

How fun is that little door?!  It's on the cut apart card sheet called Garden Gingham.  And the adorable window is in the odds and ends pack.  The little bicycle looks like it's parked right out front, ready for a beautiful ride on a spring day.  Yes little frog, you can come too!

I turned the LOVE card into a little flippie so that I could get two more pictures on my page.  I just love how these two pages turned out!  I hope they inspire you to create something wonderful with Butterfly Kisses today!!  Until next time, happy crafting my friends!

BUTTERFLY KISSES HAPPY MEMORIES LAYOUT | with Inessa

Today I’m sharing a layout using the Butterfly Kisses collection, and I just have to say—I’m completely in love with these patterns and the soft, pretty color palette. It’s one of those collections that instantly makes your photos feel light, happy, and full of charm.

For the background, I wanted to do something different and bring in patterns and texture, so I created it using patterned paper strips. I cut my papers into 2-inch by 12-inch strips and adhered them across the page. I used two pieces of the Garden Party paper along with Rainbow’s End, Butterfly Kisses, and Color-fetti. Mixing those patterns together gave the layout a playful but still cohesive look.

My photos are matted on the pink side of the Butterfly Kisses paper, which really helps them stand out while still keeping everything soft and pretty. I placed them right in the center of the layout to keep the focus on the memories.

For embellishing, I pulled pieces from the Odds & Ends and Chit Chat packs to build my title and clusters. I love how easy it is to mix these elements together to create something that feels full without being overwhelming. To finish it all off, I added the cutest Doodle Pops—Good Day Sunshine and Butterfly Kisses—which bring in that extra pop of dimension and fun.

I absolutely love how this layout turned out. It feels bright, soft, and full of happy details. I hope this inspires you to dig into your supplies, play with patterned paper strips, and create something you love.

Happy crafting đź’•

BUTTERFLY KISSES YOU ARE THE SWEETEST LAYOUT | with Brianna

Hey friends! Brianna here today and I'm so happy to kick off this week using the Butterfly Kisses collection. This collection is one of my favorites and I was so stoked to be able to work with it again. I just love all of the florals and butterflies throughout and couldn't wait to show you my page. Let me know what you think!

I wanted to use this trio of photos of my Sunny girl and instead of trimming them all individually,  I opted to keep them together as one photo strip. This sort of set the tone to have a horizontal type design and I went with it! I chose to have white cardstock as my base and then trimmed down the Rainbow's End 12x12 paper. I wanted the striped side as a main layer with the butterfly side as a supporting element that would be matted underneath the stripes.

The bold stripes going down the page really gave this page that bold look and I knew that building the rest of my page right on top of it would look really nice! I centered and adhered my photo strip down and then added some florals from the Bits and Pieces pack to help highlight my photos even more. I also included a few phrase pieces from the Chit Chat pack and added them to the top of my photos.

This is such a playful page and I wanted to make sure I added a few of the cuties from this collection. I selected the adorable frogs from the Hoppy To See You Doodle-Pop stickers and adhered one on each side of my floral cluster. I even added in that teeny little worm from the Bitty Bugs Shape Sprinkles. I love it so much!

I chose two phrases from the Chit Chat pack and put them together for my title.  I adhered it on the white cardstock and then embellished around it using more of the Bitty Bugs as well as the Flower Garden Shape Sprinkles. I wanted them to cascade down the page. I love the tiny elements, they really make this page full of whimsy.

Here's one last look at this sweet and cheerful page. Just like my Sunny girl!

BUNNY HOP DOODLE-POP PURSE | with Niella

Hippity Hoppity, welcome crafty friends to my project today! It's my favorite season, Spring and who doesn't love re-visiting such a sweet and darling collection, Bunny Hop! This collection is everything cute and colorful! I wanted to create something new SO how about a sweetiful doodle-pop purse to gift or store your precious collection in?  Stay tuned to the end for the full video showcase. So let's bop and hop right into my project!

This cutie-pie purse is 4x4 and with the concertina sides, it means you can fill it with up with 5 doodle-pops! How fun! I really love how you can also pop in gift cards and some candy if you don't want to store your doodle-pops in it.  With a matching wristlet you could add charm dangles as well.  So many amazing options!

I've also added in a back pocket for a tuck spot for a note or some stickers.  So cheerful.  The paper I've used is my favorite named May Flowers, I just adore all the florals in this collection!  While I've used my sewing machine to add stitching for an extra texture, these purse can be created without.  I would recommend making one without stitching if it's your first attempt.

Using foam squares and the ephemera pack, I've layered them behind the sticker banner Hello Spring and added the tiniest flowers from the mini icon stickers to elevate the banner sticker.  I do this all the time on my projects.  I just love to add the smallest details in!

Using one sheet of 12x12 patterned paper, you cut two 10.5x4" pieces of cardstock and adhere them front to back to strengthen the purse.  Next, you cut two 4.5x3" pieces for the concertina sides and score at 1/2 inch from left to right.  Now to score.  The top flap is scored at 2 1/4" then 2.5" then 6.5", then 7 1/4", the remaining part is the front body of the purse.  Then you are just adding the concertina sides to the inside front and then inside back.  Adjust before you adhere. Add a velcro dot as a closure. Decorate however you wish, so fun!

Now for the wristlet, use whatever paper you have left over.  Remember to cut two even pieces and glue together.  Two layers strengthen the wristlet.  Punch a hole in both the purse and wristlet, add a ring let or elastic if you wish.  Go wild, add in charms, tassels, tags! So many fun ideas come to mind, right!

How cute do my two projects look side by side.  If you haven't seen my first recreate with Bunny Hop project yet, it is my previous project here on the DB blog :-) There is a useful search tool and if you type in Niella, it will bring up all my projects!

Thank you again for visiting crafty crew! I hope you found some inspiration today! Please remember to tag Doodlebug Design in your Socials when you create with our products so we can all admire your creativity! We love seeing your creations! Until next time; doodle doo!  Enjoy my video showcase!

BUNNY HOP NEEDLE HOLDERS | with Karen

What I love about crafting is that it can sometimes solve problems in unexpected ways. My problem - I am always losing my hand sewing needles. The real problem is that I share them with 30 lovely young people who don't always keep track of them when they are done using them! So I decided to see if I could come up with little solution using the most wonderful Doodlebug collection - Bunny Hop.

Now you might say - what do sewing needles have to do with bunnies? Nothing...until now! And isn't that what is wonderful about beautiful paper like the ones in this collection? You can use so many of the patterns for any project you like! I used the adorable Spot of Spring and May Flowers for the base of these little needle booklets, and Springtime Stripe for embellishment.

On the inside, I just stapled in a little piece of fabric and then covered the staple with a sticker from the 12x12 Bunny Hop Sticker Sheet to attach the needles. Each little booklet was then embellished with some florals from the Bits & Pieces pack.

Finally, I added some Doodle Twine in Bumblebee and Limeade to keep them closed. I used a few mini jewels to finish it all off.

Sometimes, just giving something a place can help solve a problem - making that place adorable and colourful just makes it that much better! What do you think - will these help? Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

BUNNY HOP SPRING BASKET | with Miguel

Working with the Bunny Hop collection isn't just about Easter; its wide variety of designs includes floral patterns that are perfect for spring or any other occasion. For my latest project, I created this spring basket, perfect for gifting chocolates on a special day like a birthday.

I made the structure with the bunny hop solids assortment in a pink tone and decorated it with the same collection, again using the technique of texturizing the paper with a quilted effect.

I decorated with various Bunny Hop embellishments, including Bits & Pieces and Chit Chats, placing them using foam dots to give that 3D effect that I love so much!

To make my basket more authentic and realistic, I added chunky brads to create the swivel handles.

I hope you really like my project! See you soon.

BUNNY HOP EASTER GIFT BAGS | with Tarrah

Easter may have come and gone, but you can get a head start on next year with these adorable Easter themed gift bags! The Kraft bags were purchased from a cheap store, I had so much fun creating them using the charming Bunny Hop collection. They're perfect for Easter egg hunts, classroom gifts, neighbor surprises, or filling with chocolate bunnies and jelly beans for the little ones in your life.

The Bunny Hop collection is bursting with pastel perfection—think soft pinks, mint greens, sunny yellows, and sky blues paired with the cutest bunnies, chicks, carrots, and Easter eggs you've ever seen. The patterns include playful stripes, polka dots, repeating bunny motifs, and sweet floral accents that make every project feel fresh and festive.
What I love most is how well the elements coordinate while still offering plenty of variety. From the scalloped borders to the die-cut bunnies and gorgeous colors, this collection makes it easy to create polished, professional-looking projects without spending hours matching papers.

I created three distinct looks using the same collection so you can see how versatile these papers really are:
1. Pastel Striped Bunny Bag
This sweet bag features layered scalloped borders, mini jewels and the "Hoppy Easter" sticker from the This & That sticker sheet pops against ribbons and twine and a cute chicken Lil charmer for extra charm.

2. Chocolate Bunny Basket Centerpiece
The star of this bag is the adorable brown bunny peeking out of a blue basket filled with colorful eggs. I love how the orange "Happy Easter!" banner ties everything together. The background paper is covered in tiny bunnies and carrots for a fun all-over pattern. A brown grosgrain ribbon and carrot Lil charmer complete the look—perfect for a bigger gift or treat-filled basket.

3. Sweet Bunny Couple Bag
This design showcases two darling bunnies (one in a pink dress with a bow, the other in blue overalls) holding a carrot. The teal bunny-patterned background frames the scene beautifully, and I added bunny Lil charmer with twine, and a simple white ribbon with a Happy Easter tag for a clean, modern finish.

These bags are not only quick to put together, but they're also reusable or recyclable once the treats are gone and they're sure to bring smiles to anyone who receives them!

Thanks for stopping by today! Happy creating!

BUNNY HOP HELLO MINI ALBUM | with Conny

Hello crafty friends!  Conny here from The Daily Life of Creativity, and today I’m sharing this fun and colorful mini album created with the Bunny Hop collection from Doodlebug Design. This album is full of bright colors, sweet details, and lots of layers, and it came together pretty quickly. If you’d like to see the full process, be sure to head over to my YouTube channel.

To get started, I used two pieces of chipboard measuring 8 1/4 by 5 1/2 for the covers. I wrapped the chipboard using papers from the Bunny Hop collection, specifically Bubblegum Floral Graph and May Flowers, trimming those down to 7 by 9 3/4 so they would wrap nicely around the chipboard. For the inside of the covers, I used the Petite Print Bubblegum Gingham Linen and trimmed those to 8 1/4 by 5 3/8 to cover the inside cleanly.

For the spine, I used a piece of acetate measuring 8 1/4 by 3 1/2. I adhered it using double-sided tape, adding about 1 inch of adhesive on each side and attaching it directly to the chipboard covers. I love how this creates a clear spine where you can still see all those fun polka dots peeking through. Once the acetate was in place, I added the inside matting paper on top to cover the adhesive and finish off the inside.

On both sides of the album, I created a waterfall-style layout using five pages per side. Each page measures 6 1/2 by 4 1/4, and I scored along the 6 1/2 inch side at 1/2 inch to create the flap. I started placing the pages about 1/4 inch from the top and layered them down to create that cascading effect. For this album, I wanted a lengthwise design, so the top pages open to the left and the bottom pages open to the right, but you can definitely adjust the direction depending on how you want your album to flow.

To decorate, I used 3 by 4 cards on the front of the waterfall sections and added embellishment clusters along the sides and bottom for extra dimension and interest. On the inside, I left the spaces open so they can easily hold 4 by 6 photos, making this album perfect for documenting spring or Easter memories.

I love how playful and happy this album turned out, and the Bunny Hop collection really makes it so easy to layer patterns, colors, and textures together. Don’t forget to check out the full process video for all the details.  I hope this inspires you to create something fun and colorful today.
