SUMMER FUN - SUMMER FUN & SUN LAYOUT | with Tarrah

If you love sunshine, smiles, and everything cute under the sea, today's layout is for you! A vibrant and joy-filled layout created using the Summer Fun collection along with a cut file.

At first glance, this layout screams happy summer vibes! Centered around a sweet photo moment by the beach, the design is brought to life with bold colors, playful embellishments, and a perfect blend of patterns and textures. 

 

I love the papers from the Summer Fun collection. Each word in the cut file is backed with a different paper design, creating a playful, dimensional look. Under the cut file I added some blue mixed media, I love how it makes it the cut file pop off the white background cardstock. I layered one of the papers from the 6' x 8' paper pad under my photo.

I trimmed down the white cardstock and adhered it to the Beach Picnic patterned paper. The cut file is popped up using foam adhesive, I love how this creates shadows and dimension. The animals in this collection are absolutely adorable, on this layout I have added dolphins, jelly fish, sea horses, octopus, fish and a chameleon! 

With the embellishing I added some with a tone on tone look and some not tone on tone, the gorgeous, bright colors just had to be added as much as possible on my layout! I added a sub title taking the words Summer Awaits from the Chit Chat pack and adhering them using foam adhesive at the bottom of the cut file.

SUMMER FUN - SUMMER TIME LAYOUT | with Tarrah

If you're anything like me, summer is all about sunshine, laughter, and making sweet memories — and the Summer Fun collection perfectly captures that sunny spirit in every sticker, paper, and embellishment.

For this layout, I documented a fun beach day with my Mum at Jimmy’s Beach in NSW, Australia. The colorful striped background immediately set the tone for a playful and vibrant vibe — and how perfect are those colors?! Pink, orange, yellow, green, blue... it's like a rainbow exploded in the best way possible!

I added a scalloped border strip from the This and That sticker sheet across the top for a little extra dimension and tucked in some fun elements like a mini parrot Doodle Pop sticker, hearts from the Sam & Sally Seahorse Doodle-Pop, and the cutest little 'Vitamin Sea' sentiment from the Chit Chat die-cuts pack. Doodlebug never disappoints when it comes to adorable details!!

I layered up lots of the coordinating die cuts and stickers from the Odds and Ends and Chit Chat packs — tropical leaves, a rainbow umbrella, beach ball, and of course, that sweet 'Summer Time' title cluster.

At the bottom of the layout, I included a journaling spot labeled 'MEMORIES' from the Bits and Pieces pack to record the location and date of our beach trip. A cute pink flamingo Doodle-Pop and floral accents also from the Bits and Pieces pack helped tie it all together and frame the story.

And let’s not forget that photo! It’s always the centerpiece — and the happy faces in it remind me exactly why I scrapbook.

SUMMER FUN - OUR BEACH ADVENTURE LAYOUT | with Tarrah

 The vibrant and playful Summer Fun collection is like a match made in heaven for my colorful and vibrant photos of a recent trip to the beach huts at Brighton Beach, Victoria, Australia! If you’re anything like me and love capturing colorful beach days, this collection will have your heart from the first glance.

I chose the Water Babies 12' x 12' patterned paper as my background to mimic the sea, trimming it down and matting it on white cardstock, then trimmed down the white cardstock and matted it further on to the 'B' side of the Gull Friends 12' x 12' patterned paper to frame the design. I included three of our favorite snapshots from the day, matted with the bold stripey paper from the 6x8 paper pad for extra contrast.

I took 3 of the bright beach hut die-cuts from the Odds & Ends pack and lined them up using foam adhesive to the right of my main photo. I also placed the wave die-cut underneath and added some fish stickers over the waves from the Summer School Sprinkles Pack. The sun tucked in at the top of my larger photo is also from the Odds & Ends pack.

I layered some word and phrase stickers from the This and That cardstock sticker sheet on top of the middle beach hut die-cut, the pink tab sticker on the left of the large photo and the scalloped border sticker under my title are also both from the This & That sticker sheet. My title is from the Chit Chat pack and made up of 3 words - Beach is popped up using foam adhesive. Of course I could not go past adding some Doodle-Pops! I added the Palm Tree from the Palm Beach Doodle-Pop pack near my large photo and the seagull from the same pack to the top of one of the beach huts. I also added a few florals from the Flora Flamingo Doodle-Pop pack around my title  

The Summer Fun collection is an absolute must-have for scrapping your sunny days, beach holidays, and poolside pics. Its bold colors, whimsical patterns, and darling embellishments make storytelling a total breeze!

BEE HAPPY BEE-UTIFUL LAYOUT | with Tarrah

The Bee Happy collection gives super sweet, happy and cheerful vibes. This layout is all about celebrating beautiful friendships and spreading those happy, cheerful vibes!

I started with the “BEE-UTIFUL” title cut file (link below), which instantly set the playful tone for the whole page. I backed each letter with different patterned papers from the Bee Happy 6x6 paper pad—how could I resist those bright yellows, aqua blues, and happy greens? I wanted to add some solid colors so the check and spot prints were perfect.

To bring extra dimension and personality, I added the cutest little embellishments—those bees, hearts, mushrooms, and flowers are from the All the Things pack, Doodle-Pops, Puffy Stickers and Sprinkles pack and they all honestly steal the show. I popped some of them up with foam tape for extra fun and movement.

I kept the photo black and white to let the colors shine and to create a nice contrast against all that vibrant paper. The photo captures a happy moment with one of my scrappy besties, and the title felt just perfect: “Bee-utiful”. 

A stitched border around the outside, scalloped trims from the This and That sticker sheet, and a few enamel dots later—and voila! A layout that makes me smile every time I look at it.

BEE HAPPY YOU'RE SO SWEET LAYOUT | with Tarrah

The Bee Happy collection is bursting with sunshine, honey, and the cutest little bees and bears you’ve ever seen! It was the perfect match for a cherished photo of my mum and me — a memory I wanted to document in a cheerful, lighthearted way! 

I started by layering multiple colored cardstock, deciding on a bold black base to ground the layout, I then added teal and yellow borders to make everything pop and give it that classic Doodlebug vibrancy. I machine stitched a border on the white cardstock, I love the hand-sewn touch added to my layouts.

To create that fun circular focal point, I used the Shadow Box Insert Kit as a guide and started layering stickers and die cuts from the stickers and sprinkles packs provided in the kit. I filled the circle with bees, flowers, honey pots, bears, clouds, and even a hive on a branch. The mix of dimension using foam adhesive, color, and whimsy really brings this cluster to life — it looks like the bees are buzzing right off the page. 

I printed my photo 3' x 4' and backed it with a darker patterned paper to help it stand out against the colorful background. I added the “Sweet Memories” label sticker across the bottom corner of the photo and layered a floral die cut over the photo to disguise the background in the photo.

Below the circle, I added the phrase “You’re So Sweet” from the Chit Chat pack, paired with a green scallop border strip from the This and That sticker sheet to anchor it visually. And of course, I added the stamped date under the photo.

This layout makes me smile every time I look at it — it’s such a happy reminder of a sweet day and was so fun to make. The Bee Happy collection is seriously perfect for spring, summer, or anytime you want to add a little buzz of joy to your projects. Happy crafting!

BERRY SWEET SO BERRY SWEET LAYOUT | with Tarrah

The gorgeous Berry Sweet Collection embodies everything we adore about crafting — playful designs, endless possibilities, and a way to celebrate the small, sweet moments in life. It’s versatile enough for all ages and projects, and it invites you to get creative, have fun, and make memories. I documented a sweet photo of my eldest niece, the top that she is wearing in the photo matched the collection perfectly.

I chose a strawberry cut file and cut this from white cardstock. I then backed the entire cut file with papers from the 6" x 8" paper pad. I adhered it to a plain sheet of white cardstock using craft foam and placed my photo on the right of the cut file.

I chose some titles from the All The Things ephemera pack and placed them layered over the cut file.  On the right of the photo I placed the super cute strawberry shaker Doodle-pop, I love how these really pop on the page! 

Some of the smaller embellishments I added were more of the die-cuts from the All the Things ephemera pack, some border stickers from the This and That sticker sheet and some more of the smaller pieces from the Doodle-pops. 

I trimmed down the white cardstock to 11' x 11' and adhered it to the Strawberry Fields patterned paper.

Lastly I stamped the date stamp of when the photo was taken.

BUTTERFLY KISSES DREAM FOREVER LAYOUT | with Tarrah

The Butterfly Kisses collection is so gorgeous with its whimsical elements and color. I have really enjoyed working with this collection and hope you enjoy it too!

I have created a fairy tale-inspired layout today featuring the Butterfly Kisses collection together with some Over the Rainbow mushroom cut files. I chose to document a sweet photo of my nieces when they were younger and playing dress up!

I used my Silhouette Cameo machine to cut out the mushroom cut file pieces and built the mushrooms once all the pieces were cut out. I added florals from both the Odds and Ends and Bits and Pieces packs to bring in that natural, garden feel that ties everything together. I also added tiny flower puffy stickers, butterfly puffy stickers and the adorable pink snails puffy stickers, I mean how cute right?! I placed my photo over the top of one of the mushrooms using craft foam to add dimension to the page. 

For the title, I grabbed two pre-made ones from the Chit Chat pack – “Dream and Forever.” It felt perfect for this layout, as it reflects how in my photo, my nieces are dressing up as princesses. I want them to continue dreaming they are princesses forever! The two different fonts are also the perfect size and color for the placement below the photo too.

To complete the look, I used a few stickers from the This and That sticker sheet and some sprinkles, adding cute little accents like hearts and tiny flowers. These just made the whole layout feel more playful and fun.

BUTTERFLY KISSES SWEETEST LAYOUT | with Tarrah

 Hi creative friends, the gorgeous new Butterfly Kisses collection combines soft pastels with pops of vibrant colors, all complemented by intricate butterfly motifs, floral patterns, and whimsical touches. It's a perfect blend of lightness and elegance, lovely for documenting a special occasion, capturing moments of everyday beauty, or creating a whimsical layout for a loved one which is exactly what I have created today.

I printed my photo in the size of 5' x 7' and then cut it into a circle. I added my photo to a sheet of plain white cardstock using foam tape to pop it up off the page, creating some dimension and shadows. I trimmed down the white cardstock to approximately 11' x 11' and matted it to the 'B' side of the Butterfly Kisses paper from the Butterfly Kisses collection.

Around the photo, I added a mixture of butterflies from the Odds and Ends and Bits and Pieces ephemera packs and also some Doodle-pops too. These packs feature a mix of die-cut elements such as intricate butterflies, flowers, and decorative pieces, perfect for layering and adding interest. The Chit Chat pack includes adorable word phrases and sentiments. I added a sweet, suitable title at the top right of my photo.

For this particular design, I used the Butterfly Sprinkles to add delicate butterflies throughout the larger butterflies. The sprinkles added a bit of shimmer and shine, the smaller stickers helped balance the overall composition while keeping the whimsical, airy feel.

I punched some holes in the cardstock to create butterfly 'trails' and then hand-stitched the trails with different colored threads. I love how the hand stitching enhances the layout and adds some texture to the page.

BUNNY HOP HAPPY EASTER LAYOUT | with Tarrah

There is just something about Easter that I love so much, I think it must be the adorable bunnies and I mean who doesn't love the yummy chocolate eggs right!? The Bunny Hop collection is absolute cuteness overload and it is the perfect collection to document this gorgeous photo of my niece!

I picked a cut file from the Bunny Hop collection called Bunny Girl and cut out all the different pieces from different colored cardstock in the Bunny Hop coordinating cardstock pack. Once all the pieces were cut, I loved piecing the bunny girl together and love how she turned out!

I adhered her flat and slightly to the left to another sheet of white cardstock that I trimmed down so that I could add a colored paper from the Bunny Hop collection as a frame behind the white cardstock. Once the large Bunny Girl was placed I adhered my photo to the right of the cut file and began to build a sort of garden using embellishments. 

On the hair bow I wanted to add something else, so I added a flower cluster die-cut and I also placed my title across the dress on the cut file. I LOVE Doodle-pops and used a few on this layout including the sun above the photo and the adorable chickens in the garden.   

I used lots of die-cuts from the Bits and Pieces and Odds and Ends packs as the base for the garden and then layered some stickers over the top to add a little bit of dimension and texture. I love how this enhances some of the flowers on the layout a bit more. I also added the green border sticker from the This and That sticker sheet to the very bottom to replicate the look of grass.
