Fun in the Sun Collection: Sunshine Layout by Monique

Hello Doodlebug fans!! It's Monique today sharing two of my layouts created with the new "Fun In The Sun" collection. This is such an incredible collection! and so versatile!! To showcase just how versatile I decided to use this collection for both a "beach" layout and a "national park" layout.

Here's my first layout, the "Beach" layout. I started this page with the beach umbrella background cut file and adhered several different patterned papers behind it. I always love to use these kind of cut files because of the possibility to use many different papers with different colors and designs. Next I adhered the photo and the "Hello Sunshine" card. Because I always place the adhesive only in the middle of the photo and in this case the card I'm always able to slide other strips of paper and embellishments (partly) behind it later-on.

Here are a few close-ups of this layout. I'm so happy the "Odds & Ends" were added to the new collections!! Isn't this palm tree super fun?! or the cocktail in the last photo?!

The beach umbrella cut file is a free cut file from Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine.

And now on to my second layout, the "National Park" layout. The photo I used for this layout is an old one, from 2009. We visited the Joshua Tree National Park in California and had an amazing time. When I saw this new Doodlebug collection I just knew I had to print some of the photos of the park to use with this collection. Here's one where my youngest son discovers a turtle walking along the side of the road. He had never seen anything like it and was totally in awe!

And here are a couple of close-ups of this layout: the cactuses in this collection are soooo perfect!! I used both the paper with the cactus design, the "Desert Flower" Shape Sprinkles and the cactus die-cuts from the Odds & Ends package.

And don't you just love the "Matte Sprinkles"?!

For more photos of this awesome collection, hop over to the blog post from May 17 where the entire collection is showcased!

I can't wait to see what you all create with this awesome collection. Don't forget to share on our Facebook page or link us on Instagram.

Fun in the Sun Collection: Creative Cards by Corri

Hi everyone! Corri here today sharing some cute cards using the new Fun in the Sun Collection.  I am so excited about some of the new products that were added with this release.  I just love all the fun die cuts int he Odds & Ends pack.    Each pack contains 94 pieces....they perfect for making cards and for adding to pages.   Another one of my favorite things, is the new sentiment strips. Here are a few cards I made with a combination of the two.
I used some of the Create A Card bases for my cards.  I love all the different styles and how they coordinate with all the collections.  For this card, I added some stickers from the Icons Sticker Sheet, one of the sentiment strips and a few Odds & Ends.   I love how easy it is to put a card together with these elements.
For this card, I added in another one of the newly release products...Labels & Tags!  Love them!  The cacti in this collection are a perfect fit for the "stuck on you" sentiment.
For my last card,  I used two of the pineapples from the Odds & Ends pack paired up with the "Aloha" sentiment strip.
I'm in love with this new collection.  Just in time for scrapping all her Summer vacation pictures.

Fun in the Sun Collection: Good Times Layout by Mendi

Hello fellow doodlebugs!  It's Mendi here today with a layout featuring the brand new Fun In The Sun collection and a fun new product called Odds & Ends!
The Odds & Ends pack from this collection is loaded with 84 individual cutouts for endless design options!  I used the journaling die-cut to print my journaling on (adhering it to my office paper with washi tape to keep the notebook edge nice and flat as it went through my printer).  I then clipped one of the new darling flamingo paper clips at the top and layered a scene along the bottom using a number of fun die-cuts!
For the bottom half of my layout I cut a strip of the floral paper from the bordered patterned paper to ground my second little scene and title.  Even the banner and title were pulled from the odds & ends pack.  The awesome thing is I barely made a dent in the die-cuts.  There are still so many cute shapes to use on future projects.
I hope I've inspired you to take a closer look at these fun new products!

Fun in the Sun Collection: Sunshine Layout by Christine

This is such a fun collection for all your summer needs and it has a great mix of family fun designs and prints.  I hand cut some waves and then used a scissors to distress my edges a bit.  I then laid those out at the bottom of the layout to showcase that I was doing a water themed summer layout.

In addition to the always amazing stickers that Doodlebug makes they also have the new Odds & Ends to up the cute and versatile factor even more!  I used a mixture of stickers and Odds & Ends to create my title! I also combined patterned papers from the collection with my trusty circle punch to add some kick to the background.

Once again the combination of the Odds & Ends and stickers worked great but in this case it was for embellishing.  I also love that the This & That Stickers have been redesigned to include borders.  I used one at the top of my layout.

I can't wait to play with this collection more with new pictures that I take over the summer - I just know you will love playing with it too!

Fun in the Sun Collection: Hawaii Layout by Tya

Hi Doodlebug fans - Well - its officially SUMMER!! Yay! And to celebrate I am sharing with you a layout featuring the amazing new Fun in the Sun Collection.  Last June my family and I took a vacation to Hawaii to celebrate my daughter's high school graduation and I was so excited to use the Fun in the Sun line to make a layout of some of my favorite photos of our trip. Here is my layout:

With all of the lovely flowers and palm trees, and pineapples - this collection is PERFECT if you have any tropical themed pictures. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the letters and then I added some of my favorite prints from the 6x6 paper pad in the cutout space. Aren't the colors and patterns so fun? I also had a great time using the all new Odds and Ends die cut shapes as some of my embellishments. They are a little bit larger than the stickers on the Icon Sticker Sheet so I thought they were the perfect scale to add some different sized embellishments to my layout.
Here are some close ups of the layout:
Isn't the Flamingo Cute Clip on the Aloha speech bubble so adorable?

I used some tiny sprinkles that are found on the Shape Sprinkles for the centers of my flowers and the vacation sticker is on the cute new redesigned This and That Sticker Sheet.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a peek- I hope I have inspired you to make a tropical themed layout of your own using this super cute new line. Happy Scrapping!

Fun in the Sun Collection: Summer Album by Traci Penrod

Hi everyone, it's Traci from Artsy Albums.  Summer is officially here!  Of course, even though my calendar says this occurred on June 20th, here in Georgia it's felt like summer for a few months now.  90+ degree days and it's only June ... yikes!  But despite the heat, I'm loving the sunshine, hanging out by the pool, and digging my toes in the sand.  I've been taking lots of photos too, and Doodlebug's new Fun in the Sun collection will be perfect for documenting my summer memories.
This colorful mini album came together super quick.  I used a Simple Stories pink binder album and tons of Fun in the Sun papers and embellishments.
It's pretty obvious how much I LOVE the new Odds & Ends die cut pieces.  There are so many in the pack.  I did an entire mini album and still had some left over for another project!
See that little cactus clip on the photo mat below?  How stinking' cute is that!!
No project would be complete without some chunky twine!!
I love how there are 4x6 and 4x4 cut-apart cards included with each collection. I always add some of them to my divided photo sleeves.
So let me know what you think?  Are you ready to save your summer memories with this adorable collection?  Trust me ... it just doesn't get any cuter!

Fun in the Sun Collection: Flamingo Shadow Box by Kathy

Hi Everyone!  It's Kathy today with a fun décor project I created using the FABULOUS new Fun in the Sun Collection!  When I first saw this collection I knew I had about 1,000 pictures that would be perfect, but then I read the quote in the project and knew I had to use it!  Take a peek...

This shadowbox is made completely from paper!  The main body of the box is made from some Doodlebug Textured Cardstock in Lily White, I then set out to decorate it using all the fabulous goodies in the Fun in the Sun Collection!

Using my Silhouette, I cut the Flamingo and Palm Tree.  The B-side of the Flock of Flamingo's Paper was the perfect pink for my Flamingo!  I added in a little Cupcake Swiss Dot Cardstock to make the wing. I couldn't resist the sunglasses stickers from the Fun in the Sun Icons Sheet!  I added a couple of sprinkles from the Paradise Shaped Sprinkles to the edges.  The palm trees on the B-side of the Polka dot Party Paper were perfect to make the leaves of my palm tree along with some Limeade Swiss Dot Cardstock!!

By far my favorite new Doodlebug Product is the packet of Odds and Ends!  There are so many pieces to play with and add to embellishment clusters!  I used most of the flowers and leaves, as well as the sun & cloud.  I still have almost a full package!  They are fabulous!
My words were created using some Cupcake and Lily White Skinny Type Stickers.  I was so happy that this project looks like I had envisioned!  I can't wait to hang it on my craft room wall!  That's it for me today, be sure to stop by the rest of this week and all next week for more Fun in the Sun inspiration!  Thanks for stopping by to peek!
