HEY PUMPKIN HALLOWEEN BOO LAYOUT | with Nathalie

We are getting closer and closer to Halloween!! And though my kids -now adults- are no longer enjoying the night, I have little cousins who are eagerly waiting for all the fun. What better way to document their little smiles than using the fun Hey Pumpkin collection for this layout.

You are going to be surprised to know that this page came together using leftover pieces of patterned paper! I love using every inch of paper in my projects!

I trimmed two corners pieces from the Hey Pumpkin paper. I carefully -using a craft knife- sliced a few lines between some of the color strips to just one of the corners - I had measured and marked where I wanted to insert the paper, so I knew exactly where to create the slits-

Once I adhere the non-cut corner to the page. I carefully wove the piece of Peek-A-Boo paper through the slits before gluing it all the background. Next, I backed the photo with patterned paper from the 6x8 paper pad, and adhered to my page. I took advantage of all the little ghosts in the collection to bring movement and extra cuteness to my page.

I had a large space to the left of the black mat, which became the perfect spot to add my title. I capped the title with a large piece of Odds & Ends and sentiments from Chit Chat and the sticker sheet. I added a few stars and spiders Sprinkles throughout the page to bring it all together.

I love how this turned out! The perfect layout for those smiling faces. I hope you, too, are using the beautiful and fun Hey Pumpkin collection in your projects! XO

HEY PUMPKIN ACETATE HALLOWEEN CARDS | with Kathy

I can't believe we are already halfway through October!  It's time to get those Halloween Cards made!  I put together a couple of fun cards using the Hey Pumpkin Collection along with the Homespun and Clear Heavy weight Acetate.  Take a peek...

These cards were so fun to make.  I started with a standard 4.25" x 5.5" (A2) card base.  I cut the front of each card so that only one inch folded over.  I then attached a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of acetate to the front of the card.  I love the "window" affect it makes!

For this first card I used the Homespun Acetate.  I thought it was a cute addition with all the little spiders from the Halloween Night Shaped Sprinkles.

On the front of the card I added one of the spiders hanging from a piece of Doodle Twine.

Inside the card I inked the background with some distress inks, added a spider web from the Hey Pumpkin Spider Web SVG.  I added another hanging spider and a couple of friends!  My sentiment was created with some Beetle Black Alphabet Soup Puffy Stickers.

For my next card I used some Clear Heavy weight Acetate and the Good Spirits Doodle Cuts.  I inked my background and stenciled some clouds.

On the front of my card I added some grass cut from the coordinating Textured cardstock pack, along with the pumpkin and gates from the Doodle Cuts.  Of course I added another spider!

Inside the card I added more shaped sprinkles and the tree and ghost from the Doodle Cuts.  The sentiment is from the Hey Pumpkin Doodle Cuts.

If you've made any projects using the Hey Pumpkin collection, please be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on social media.  We love to see your projects!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!

HEY PUMPKIN ENVELOPE ALBUM | with Conny

Hello Spooky Friends, It's Conny, and I'm excited to share a fun project using the Hey Pumpkin Collection with you. Today, I'll be creating an envelope mini album. To make this project, you will need a 1-2-3 Punch Board.  Additionally, I decided to create a sturdy chipboard base to hold the envelopes together. This will ensure that the mini album is durable and long-lasting. Get ready for a creative and enjoyable crafting session!

I started by selecting two patterned papers and two solid textured cardstock. Then, I trimmed them to 8 3/8" and followed the 1-2-3 punch directions to create the envelopes.

After that, I wrapped the chipboard pieces with beetle black cardstock. The chipboard pieces measure 6 1/2" x 4 1/2" for the covers and 2" x 6 1/2" for the spine. I used the 6" x 6" paper pad from the Hey Pumpkin Collection to cover the front of both covers and added stitching with my sewing machine.

To assemble the covers and spine, I used a piece of cardstock measuring 4 1/2" x 6 1/2". I scored the paper on the shorter side at 1 1/4" and 3 1/4", and positioned the spine in the middle. For the hinges, I used cardstock from the textured cardstock assortment pack from the Hey Pumpkin Collection. I used  two pieces measuring 6 1/4" x 2 1/2" and 6 1/4" x 2". For the 6 1/4" x 2 1/2" piece, I scored at 1/2" and 2". For the 6 1/4" x 2" piece, I scored at 1/2" and 1 1/2". I adhered the larger one first in the middle of the spine and then adhered the smaller one on top, and that gave me my four hinges. Finally, I glued the envelopes to the hinges. I glued them all going the same way, but you could do facing each other too!

Inside the mini-album, I added a card that can hold photos. The paper for this one measures 8 1/2" x 6" and scored on the longest side at 4 1/4", folded and placed inside the envelopes. I added a few photo mats for the back of the envelopes to hold 3" x 4" or 3 1/2" x 5" photos. I embellished the inside, and I used Odds & Ends, Chit Chats, bits & Pieces and doodle-pops for the cover page. You can watch the process on my YouTube Channel. Thank you for stopping by! Xo Conny!

HEY PUMPKIN HOUSE SHAPED MINI ALBUM | with Jen

One of my favorite types of projects to make is shaped mini albums. Doodlebug SVG files make it so easy to make fun, one of a kind projects!

Today I have a shaped pocket folio using the Hey Pumpkin collection and the Halloween Candy House SVG file, available in the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop.  The front is decorated with Puffy Icons and a couple of Icon stickers. I also used some of the Halloween Night Shape Sprinkles

I modified the file a little and then cut it from chipboard. I split the front porch into a separate piece to make this a tri-fold folio.

Inside I have a 4x6 tri fold flap on the left side. I matted the inside with white cardstock for photo mats and some of the Mini Icon stickers.

In the middle is an accordion pocket with three sections. This will hold plain 4x6 photos or matted 4x6 photos.

For my accordion pocket I made inserts that will all hold 4x6 photos. I added white photo mats and mini icon stickers to these as well.

HEY PUMPKIN WALLET SHAPED MINI ALBUM | with Traci

Hello friends! Today I have a fun Halloween project made with the colorful and fa-boo-lous Hey Pumpkin collection. Since I love making mini albums, I'm always looking for interesting ways to save photos. Soooo ... say hello to my little Trick or Treat wallet shaped scrapbook!

Halloween wallet shaped mini album with candy, pumpkins, and flowers

This was made with a great Lori Whitlock cutting file called Wallet Mini Album.
I cut the base out of black cardstock and covered it in lots of amazing 12x12 and 6x6 Hey Pumpkin papers. I love how the bright citrus colors look against the dark background ... especially the Halloween Haul candy filled paper!

I punched a 2" scallop circle out of black paper, added the Trick or Treat die cut piece from the Chit Chat, and glued a tiny flat magnet underneath.

Inside, there is the gorgeous "Plaid It's Halloween" paper and a cute "spooky" die cut. On the bottom, I used the bright pink paper titled Boo-tiful Bouquet and a few larger sized die cuts from the Bits & Pieces and Odds & Ends. I added a second magnet behind these die cuts so the flaps will stay together when closed.

Ok, here's where the mini album gets really interesting! In the center, there are 2 tri-folds that open to the left and the right. I added the 3x4 inch Hocus Pocus card on the left side. It's from the Pumpkin Patch Plaid paper and I love the little witch and her cute glasses!

And here's what the tri-fold looks like opened. I added more fun papers and die cuts to each little section.

Did you notice the puffy icon star stickers? A little shine and a bit of dimension ... perfect for adding more interest to my mini pages.

Here's the tri-fold on the right. I matched the patterned papers on both sides but changed up the die cuts. I added a stack of books with a candle on top to this one. If you look closely, you'll see that I added a mini jewel from the Halloween Assortment to the flame.

Behind the tri-folds is a 4x6 inch photo mat. It's the perfect spot for your favorite Halloween photo. I added more die cuts and puffy icon stickers. Just look how cute all these colors and patterns look together!

At the bottom, there are 2 little pockets with journaling cards / photo mats inside. I added a spider and pumpkin die cut to each and on the front of the pockets ... 2 puffy icon bat stickers. I love their sweet little smiles!

Well, I hope this fun project and all the Hey Pumpkin cuteness made YOU smile today! It's cute characters, spooktacular patterns, and bright cheerful colors are perfect for any holiday project. Have a great day and happy scrappin'!

HEY PUMPKIN MINI TREAT BAGS | with Karen

You know what I love about Halloween? Mini chocolate candy treats! And while the yummy chocolate is definitely a part of the love, it is actually the size I love even more. Because who doesn't love something in miniature?

Treat-bag-all-three-2

So I decided to use my project this week to create some adorable mini treat bags to fill with miniature goodies! Created with the 12x12 patterned paper simply cut to 7"x6" and scored with a 1" bottom and sides, this little treat bag is as cute as can be!

Closeup-2

And here's the great thing! While the Odds and Ends pack is filled with a variety of adorable of die cut shapes and characters, there are a bunch that are small enough to fit on this treat bags. I picked a few for each bag and just layered them a bit, overhanging the edges to add a bit more interest.

Closeup-1

I then topped each one off with a sentiment for the Chit Chat pack, using some foam adhesive for dimension. I then filled up each one, pinched the sides about 3/4s of the way up and used some ribbon from my stash to tie them up. We wouldn't want any of the treats to escape now, would we?!

Treat-bag-all-three

And that was it! These little containers are going to make a cute addition to a larger treat bag, but could also be used as a place setting or little appreciate gift. They may be mini, but their mini-ness makes them monstrously cute! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

HEY PUMPKIN HALLOWEEN LAYOUT | with Brianna

Hey friends! Brianna Lepper here today and last week we were at Disneyland for a few days! Both the park and hotel were decked out in all of the Halloween decor so of course I was snapping photos left and right. The Hey Pumpkin collection was PERFECT for the photos I used for this page. Here it is:

The colors in this collection just matched my photos so nicely. And my girl looks super cute of course! I chose to use the Boo-tiful Bouquet, Plaid It's Halloween and Moonlight Magic papers. I used the Boo-tiful Bouquet one down towards the bottom of my page and then layered the other three together and adhered them all at the top.

I've been wanting to use these wrought iron fence die cuts! They have the "Haunted Mansion" vibe to them and since I needed a little embellishment cluster down towards the bottom of my page, they were the perfect things to add!

I layered my two photos on tags from the Bits & Pieces pack and adhered them in the middle of my page. I used a 'Halloween' phrase piece from the Chit Chat pack and popped it up on foam tape. The fun font was totally on theme with this layout.

This green house from the Odds & Ends pack fit nicely under my title and so did that adorable little ghost! I pulled that from the Mini Icons sticker sheet.

I added a few flowers from the Bits & Pieces pack and then finished the page off with a few Puffy Icons stickers.

Here's one last look at this fun page:

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way. I'll see you in my next post friends!
