Puppy Love Collection: I'm In the Doghouse layout by Melinda

How much is that doggy in the window? The one with the waggly tail?... I've had that song stuck in my head all morning so I thought it would be nice to share - tee hee

The new Puppy Love collection has been in play on the blog for the past two weeks with the most adorable projects from the design team. Hopefully you have been inspired to drag out those photos of your favourite K9 friends and whip up a creation or two. My layout today is one you can re-create with all your left over bits and pieces which is a good way to get the absolute most from your products.

This is my son's beautiful puppy 'Toby' who came along for Ben's 10th birthday and they have been inseparable ever since. Toby sure has been a ball of fluff and trouble chewing everything in sight... especially shoes *groan*. This little speech bubble was absolutely perfect for this photo as Toby was covered in mud and completely banned from coming inside.

More fun stitching. I really wanted to have clouds and the sun on this layout to complete the look of a whimsical picture but I didn't want them to be solid paper so I decided that hand stitching would make a better choice.

The little dog house was created by simply cutting out the shape from white cardstock and adhering all my bits and pieces from the collection. You could also cut various icons from left over patterned paper and add them using foam pop dots for the added dimension.

I wanted the photo of Toby to be the same shape as the doorway to the little dog house but that meant I would lose his cute paw from the bottom of the pic. So, I decided a bit of deep etching was in need to keep the paw as part of the layout.

I hope you have enjoyed the past fortnight of projects from the team? Don't forget to share your doggy creations on our facebook page which you can find here https://www.facebook.com/DoodlebugDesignInc/

Enjoy your weekend - Melinda

Puppy Love Collection: Two Layouts by Corri Garza

Hi everyone!  Corri here today sharing a couple of layouts I made with the new Puppy Love collection.  Everything about this collection is perfect for dog lovers like me.  The colors and adorable icons are so fun to work with.
For my first layout, I scrapped this picture of my dog Rusty.  He matches this collection so perfectly.
The houndstooth print is so awesome.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to weld some his name a fun script font.
The Odds and Ends are perfect for adding to layouts.  I added a few of the Matte Sprinkles to accent my title.
For my next layout, I used this adorable photo of my daughter and our dogs snuggling before school.
The Best Friends title, the hearts, puppy and bowl are all from the Odds & Ends pack.
I added a few stickers from the Icon Sticker Sheet and some Matte Sprinkles
Be sure to check out all the Puppy Love Collection!  It's perfect for scrapping all your pet photos.

Puppy Love Collection: Personalized Puppy Cards by Courtney

Woof woof! It's Courtney Lee from Court's Crafts here today with some really fun personalized cards.

I'm in the Doghouse
This one was super fun. I saw the phrase and I knew it was probably meant for some adorable doggy-shaming layout but I thought... welp, I could use this phrase as a "just in case" card! I screw up all the time and this would be a fun way to make it humorous. :)

I started out with this strip of paper and frill at the bottom of the card and added the cute clips. I really wanted them to be the stars of the show.

I built the card up after that and added a chunky twine bow and a tennis ball hidden behind. How cute are these enamel shapes?!? I also added a skewed dog bone at the top of the house for decoration.

LOVING these new phrases on the this and that sheets. And check out Huey the doodle-pop... SOOO cute!

doodlebug: puppy love: cute clips: puppies (5241)

Thanks
I was in die-cut heaven! Most everything on this card was from the new Odd's and Ends. Love them.

I stamped my sentiment on the die cut doggy bone and added some enamel paw prints and matte sprinkles. I love the colors in this collection!

Sorry about Greta
Our neighbor has to put down her dog this week and we thought it would be nice to make her a card to cheer her up. It's so tough to put our furfamily members down. :(

Loving this little "Sparky" doodle-pop and the fancy frill on the background. I think it adds so much depth. I grabbed one of the Tags and Labels and I have to admit that this heart paper is my new favorite doodlebug print. SOOO cute!

Puppy Love Collection: Dog Days Mini Album by Jennifer

Hello, Doodlebug fans. Jennifer here and today it's my turn to share my Puppy Love project with you. Last year my family and I welcomed a Bichon Frise puppy into our home and hearts.  Of course, I have taken tons of pictures of him since then and decided to showcase a few of them in this fun mini album.
I started out with a chipboard, 3 ring binder for the main part of the album.  Then I added the chipboard puppy to the front, which was cut using my Silhouette.  The file for the dog can be found here.  I did distort the puppy slightly to accommodate the narrowness of the album.
The dog was then covered with patterned paper and cardstock.  I then stitched around his eye, tummy and on his collar.  For a nice "wet look" on his nose, a little crystal lacquer was applied.
A newspaper from the Odds and Ends package was added to some rolled up patterned paper, then placed in the dog's mouth.  A boutique button was used for the tongue.
Mini tags from the collection were attached to the collar with jump rings, and one was embellished with a button and sprinkles.
Tennis balls and treat stickers were then placed on the lower half of the album.
On the inside cover of the album, a tri-fold card was used to hold some journaling.
Here are all the pages inside the album.
........and the reverse side.
I hope you have been inspired to try creating an album for your fur-baby as well.  That's it for me, but be sure to stop by the rest of this week for more Puppy Love inspiration.  Jennifer :)

Puppy Love Collection: Pawsatively Perfect Planner Love

Hi Doodlebug friends! This week I get to share with you a planner layout using my favorite new collection, Puppy Love. I have always been a dog lover (even though I tried really hard to like cats... it just didn't happen). Our current puppy love, Jake, has been with us for just over a year. He's a red shorthair dachshund and has made my life so much richer. Days were hard when he came to live with us and he's seen me through some dark days and made my whole life seem brighter.

Even though he's still not house trained. Dachshunds are incredibly stubborn. Just like me.

A look at just the layout:

I couldn't do a very puppy oriented spread without including a picture of littel Jake. That photo was taken on the day he got some shots and he was so tired he just collapsed on a pile of laundry. Made me smile.

And here are some details of all the adorable Doodlebug products I used on this project:

And that's my project. Love putting it all together! Hope you enjoyed the peek into my planner today. Kim

Puppy Love Collection: Best Friends Mini Album

Hi Doodlebug friends!  It's Traci, from Artsy Albums, back to share a new mini album with you.  I have two dogs, a 12-pound toy poodle named Reeci, and a 6 pound maltese named Maisy.  When I saw the new Puppy Love collection I couldn't wait to create a new mini for them with all of the adorable pieces.
I combined 12x12 and 6x6 papers to create this little album.  How fun is that chunky twine?!  The title and most of the cute little embellishments are from the new odds & ends package (love these!!).
This album is available as a DIY kit over in my Artsy Albums shop too.  You can get more details about these here.  I know you will love this collection for all of your puppy projects!  By the way, Reeci and Maisy say "Happy Crafting"!

Puppy Love Collection: Man's Best Friend Layout by Piali

Here is my Puppy Love layout.

Hello Doodlebug Fans!!

Piali here, today I'm sharing a layout using the cute new Puppy Love collection.
 I looooooooooooooove this collection!!
As many of you know I love dogs , and  I have two pups of my own, I find this collection is beyond amazing !!

Here is a layout about my youngest fur baby Twix...
My younger daughter took this photo of twix wearing her hat...I love this photo.
This newspaper style paper is my favorite one, I used it as the neutral background for my layout.
I added the pop of colors using the journalling strips.
Love the Odds & Ends from each collection...this puppy kind of looks like my Twix.
I also used the tag from the tag collection, added my pups name with the letter stickers.
The washi tapes from this collection is super fun , I used a few on this layout.
Love the cute Paperclips... that doggy one is so fun!!

Hope you all like this collection.

Thanks for stopping by..
Happy Crafting!!
Piali.

Puppy Love Collection: Canine Chronicles by Christine

We just got a new puppy in March so Doodlebug's timing on the Puppy Love line was so perfect for me!  I have been hoarding all my cute pictures until I could play with Puppy Love!  Christine joining you today with a layout about the first couple days with our newest addition!

We took a ton of pictures the first few days and it was fun to be able to capture a lot of them on this layout!  I knew I wanted to work with the newspaper print so I went with skinny pictures mounted on a variety of patterned papers from the 6 x 6 paper pad.  The width was easy to match for each column so I just had to measure each one for a good height!  I outlined each picture with black pen to make them pop a little more.

This collection contains all the different embellishments you could possibly want!  I used Icons Stickers, Odds & Ends, Sprinkles, and the This & That sticker sheet! to do my embellishing!

One of my favorite things to do with the Icons Stickers and This & That Stickers is build little scenes - I was able to do that in all my little areas of embellishing.  It's a great way to add to the personalizing of a layout and it's just plain fun!

The new Odds & Ends have so many fun title options - they make it really easy to create a title that works for your project.

Keep on sharing all your Puppy Love projects with us too!  We love getting inspiration from all the pet lovers out there!
