GREAT OUTDOORS - OUTDOORS LAYOUT | with Traci

Happy Thursday friends!  If you were following along on September 15, you saw a 12x12 page the I created using the adorable Great Outdoors collection.  Since I know how much you like 2 page layouts, I decided to design a companion page to go with that page.

Here's a look back at the first one ...

And here's the second page ...

When I create 2 page layouts, I like for them to flow into one another, so that your eye moves across the pages seamlessly.  To do this, I layered a piece of the Happy Camper paper on the left side of the page, to follow the design on page 1.  The blue plaid (Sleeping Bag) paper is on the right side of the page to tie into the plaid border and trees.

I used the same mat colors on this page, and used the pretty floral print for a cohesive look.

A note about the die cuts I used on both pages:  In my last post I told you I used Odds & Ends from the Great Outdoors.  I did, but when creating this second page, I realized that some of the odds & ends were actually from the Friendly Forest collection AND from the Pumpkin Spice collection.  So sorry for this confusion, but it's one reason I love Doodlebug so much ... all of the collections coordinate so well together!  So have fun mixing and matching!

Here's the link to the post for my first page Great Outdoors Page #1.  And here are the measurements I used in case you want to replicate page 2.  Happy fall, and happy crafting everyone!

Cabin Fever, woodgrain - 12x12
Happy Camper, outdoor scene - 6"x11.5"
Sleeping Bag, blue plaid - 5.5"x11.5"
White card stock - 9."x9.75"
Great Outdoors, green mat - 2.75"x3.75"
My Favorite Flannel, orange mat - 2.75"x3.75"
Bits of nature, yellow mat - 2.75"x3.75"
Wild Flowers, yellow floral - 4" x 5"

PUMPKIN SPICE FALL DAYS LAYOUT | with Erica

I am so excited for cooler weather and all things Fall! Today I have a fun fall layout documenting one of our trips to the pumpkin patch! The Doodlebug Design Pumpkin Spice collection was the perfect match for my photos!

My white cardstock base is cut to 10.75x10.75 and adhered to a piece of 11x11 paper from the Pumpkin Spice collection. I matted both of these onto the Happy Fall 12x12 paper.

I cut out the Fall Days cut file onto some Doodlebug Design Lily White cardstock which is my go to white cardstock. I backed the cut file with papers from the Pumpkin Spice 6x6 paper pad and then adhered down to the bottom part of my layout. I added border stickers to the top and bottom of the white cardstock for a fun detail.

I matted my photos using pattern paper from the Pumpkin Spice 6x6 paper pad and placed them above the cut file. I pulled out all the adorable Pumpkin Spice embellishments and began to create fun clusters around my page.

I just love all the sweet faces on some of the icons! Once all my cute clusters were done I went in with some different Doodlebug Design sprinkles to add some finishing touches to my page.

The gorgeous colors in this collection just scream fall! I love how this page turned out and hope you enjoy it just as much as I do!

GREAT OUTDOORS PILLOW BOX TREATS | with Karen

There is something about the fall that always make me crave little treats. Give me a bag of the chewy little caramels this time of year and I am happy girl! Perhaps it is a comfort craving brought on by flannel and cooler weather, or perhaps it is just me craving sugar to get through the first few weeks of back to school Whatever the case is, I love little fall treats!

All-3-1

So it only made sense to create some little pillow boxes to hold my fall treats. Truth be told, I made these to hold little fall treats for other people - but they give me a great excuse to sneak some! The Great Outdoors is a perfect collection for this time of the year. Cozy colours and cute designs that make me think of curling up beside a fire watching the kids make smores! I teamed them up the 12x12 patterned paper with some Petite Prints and a mini doily for the bases and then went to town embellishing!

Closeup-1

The Great Outdoors Odds and Ends dies cuts make the perfect feature for the pillow boxes. Not only are there so many shapes and characters to choose from, they really are the perfect size for pillow boxes. I used some of the cute insects for this set, but if you are a camper or have friends who are - this set will have you making treat containers for everyone at the RV park!

Closeup-2

To finish it all off, I added some glitter Sprinkles, some Doodle twine and a little message from the Chit Chat die cuts. All of the piece are attached with some foam adhesive to give each a bit more dimension.

All-3-2

I really love how these turned out. They remind me of all the fun things about summer with all the coziness of fall! Okay, now bring on the caramels! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

PUMPKIN SPICE CARDS | with Wanda

Hi Doodle friends! Fall has officially arrived and I am here for it! Fall is my very favorite time of year and I love Fall crafting!! Today I'm featuring some cute coffee cards made with one of my all time favorite Doodlebug Collections - Pumpkin Spice. This collection has a special place in my heart... The colors, the critters, and of course coffee! Such great themes for this time of year. To share with you today I made two coffee cards and a smaller latte notecard. All made with the Pumpkin Spice Doodlebug suite of products!

1

I used the 12x12 Pumpkin Spice papers to die cut two large folding coffee cards using a die. I added corrugated paper for the sleeve and decorated them with The Rocky Doodle Pop and the Fox and Friends Doodle Pop! I added accents with the accompanying sprinkles for the collection. The sentiments are from the Chit Chat and Odds and Ends packages.

1

I also wrapped some twine around the sleeve part of the card and added some Fall Jewels...

1

I splattered on some white paint over the coffee cup part. A coffee gift card would fit inside the card along with your message. The double sided Doodlebug Papers are perfect here so that the inside is cute too!

Here is the opened card... The sleeve slides right off.

I also made a sweet little latte notecard. I die cut the notecard from woodgrain cardstock and embellished with the Chit Chat and Odds and Ends from the Pumpkin Spice Collection. This is the perfect size to tuck into a lunch or in a gift bag!

There's my projects for today! Love you a latte! I'll be back soon with something else to share. Until then, happy crafting!

PUMPKIN SPICE AUTUMN DAY LAYOUT | with Lisa

Okay... So summer's officially over and I need to turn the page... which is always super hard for me... :) I LOVE summer!!! Here in Luxembourg, fall is not always super beautiful, it's not the warm orange and yellow kinda fall, it's the grey, cloudy and cold kinda fall. But I'll light some candles on those rainy days and I'll be fine. At least the scrapbooking collections are pretty. Here's my first layout with the Pumpkin Spice Collection.

I did it again! I chose a patterned paper and started cutting out all the little designs. This time, it was leaves. So after cutting them out, I needed to decide on a design for my page. I decided to go with this plus sign shape. I matted my photo with two patterned papers, adhered it to the background, then started placing my leaves on top and bottom and on the sides of the photo. I also chose three Doodle Pops that I placed between all the leaves.

I then gave the leaves some dimension by pressing the centers down with my fingers and adhered them to the paper using liquid glue. I used watercolors and added some yellow in some places between the leaves. Then I went through the Odds & Ends die cuts and chose leaves, ladybugs, acorns, pinecones, mushrooms, birds...

I added the leaves using foam squares and adhered them to the page using some tangled thread underneath. I also adhered the other die cuts with foam squares to make them stand out.

At the end, I added watercolor splatters in teal and orange and enamel dots and jewels. For my title, I chose two words from the Chit Chat die cuts.

I hope you like the fall vibes and are ready for Fall photoshoots and scrapbooking.  See you soon!

PUMPKIN SPICE AUTUMN ALBUM | with Miguel

Autumn is here!  Let's get ready with a beautiful mini album that I created today using the Pumpkin Spice Collection. This collection is one of my favorites for its colors and designs!

This album is made with a pumpkin-shaped die. For the cove, r I created a shaker to make my project more fun. Do you like the idea? I loved it. I decorated the cover with a Doodle Pop and used a Chit Chat piece for my title.

Each page is created with the various patterned papers from the collection. I added small photo mats for the photos and decorated the pages with Chit Chat pieces and other icons from the collection. I love to decorate with these elements!

I hope this mini album is very inspiring and helps you create different and fun things. See you soon!

PUMPKIN SPICE HAPPY FALL DAY LAYOUT | with Nathalie

Fall is here! and I am so happy to finally enjoy the best time of the year.  One of the best things about Fall are the leaves and getting to play with them.  So, I pulled the beautiful Pumpkin Spice collection to document a memory of my  nephew playing with the leaves.

I wanted a way to showcase all the colors and patterns of the collection.  So, I decided to find a simple way to  showcase them all in a way!

I chose to cut strips of the patterned papers, and layered them on the page.  I added a few scalloped sticker  between the layers to soften the lines of the strips.

To bring interest to the photo, I cut it into a circle, and set it at almost the bottom  of the strips.    This just created the perfect  an intersecting point for the location of the embellishments.

It was so fun to mix-and-match embellishments to create clusters at the top of the paper strips.  All the textures in the embellishments just add extra interest to the page.

I am using the horizontal line to add my title (love the Chit Chat pieces in this collection).  I used a die to cut a few leaves from the 6x6 paper pad, and scattered them throughout the title work.

Cannot wait to continue documenting all my Fall memories with the beautiful Pumpkin Spice collection.  XO

PUMPKIN SPICE NUGGET JAR | with Kathy

Fall is by far my favorite time of year.  It's still warm enough to be outside a lot, but with a nice crisp touch to the air!  The colors, the food... it's all awesome!  Another fun part of autumn... Doodlebug Collections!  While we are im(patiently) waiting for the new collections to arrive we are featuring some of our favorites from the past.  I got to play with one of the all time greats... Pumpkin Spice!  I decided to make a fun nugget box featuring a Pumpkin Spice SVG file and lots of goodies from the collection.  Take a peek...

I started with the Pumpkin Spice Tall Jar SVG file.  I edited the file in my Silhouette software to have an open front and cut out two, one for the front, one for the back.  I covered the openings with some acetate.  Next, I added added some sides.  I cut a 1.5" strip of paper, the length of the sides and bottom combined.  I scored the strip to create a U shape, then I scored the long sides .25" in on each side to make tabs to glue to the front and back. I did have to trim the tabs a bit so they didn't show through the acetate.  I made my base from white cardstock for some strength, and then re-cut the jars in patterned papers to cover.

I covered each of the nuggets with a strip of paper.  The strips measured approximately 1"x 3.25". I then filled my jar!

And of course I had to add a cute little face using some beetle black petite prints and some sprinkles.

I finished my jar with a cute little tag I cut using the Large Tags Doodle Cuts.  I added some stickers from the mini icons sticker sheets and the stamped sentiment is from the Pumpkin Spice Doodle Stamp set.  I think this will make a fun gift for a good friend!

If you have any fun Pumpkin Spice Projects, be sure to tag Doodlebug Design on Facebook and Instagram.  We love to see your creations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek!
