CUTE & CRAFTY CREATE COLORFUL MEMORIES LAYOUT | with Nathalie

Have you heard the phrase, "The Happiest Place in the World"?  Well, mine doesn't have an amusement park, instead is filled with paper, glue, paint, dinner plates and lots of pictures.  We are talking about my dining room table, aka my crafting table.  So what better way to document me in my happy place than using the gorgeous Cute & Crafty collection.

I started with the Bright Ideas paper as my background, and added a bit of color with inks and paint.   I chose a soft rainbow for the background colors.

I simply framed my photo with a 6x6 paper, then placed it on the right side of the page atop the mixed media.  Then it was all about using all the cute icons to embellish the page.

My idea was to color block the icons to the background.   There are so many details  in all the pieces, and it was hard to not choose all of them.

I used Chit Chat pieces and Abigail Alpha Stickers to complete the title,  and tied all the page together with a small cluster of flowers from the new Bits and Pieces set.  Don't you just love them all!!

The new Cute and Crafty collection is just perfect to document me at my happiest place!  Remember to document you at your happiest place, especially if it has pretty paper, photos, and glue around!  XO

CUTE & CRAFTY CRAFTROOM DRAWERS | with Miguel

This week we are continuing projects with the beautiful Cute and Crafty Collection.  This week I continue with some altered wood drawers to help brighten up the Doodlebug area of my craft space.

On this set of drawers, I am doing the same technique as on my previous project.  I painted the drawers turquoise, then I placed cardboard pieces lined with patterned papers from the collection.  I love how the pieces look on the drawers,  giving it a different and unique design.

I used Doodle Pops and decorative borders, to give my project lots of fun and color.

I will use this chest of drawers to store and organize my doodle pops and my Doodle Twine threads as shown in the photo. What do you think of this great idea?

Do not miss more inspiration in my next posts, I will continue creating very nice things for my scrap room.  See you soon and thanks for reading.

CUTE & CRAFTY MINI ALBUM BOOKLET AND WALLET | with Ashley

Hi All! Today I am sharing another project featuring the Cute & Crafty collection. I made a little mini album booklet and a wallet to store it in.

I started by using some of the colorful 12x12 patterned papers to form the wallet. This is decorated using some stitching, ephemera, mini icon stickers, and mini jewels. It also has a velcro closure.

The booklet is a series of pockets made using one sheet of 12x12 paper.

I used the cut apart sheet for little stitched inserts in each of the pockets.

I then finished off the booklet with lots of colorful elements from the collection. I lined up some of the recurring images and used foam tape to pop up some of the icons for extra dimension. The stickers from the mini icons sheets were the perfect size for this!

Thanks for stopping by today. Happy Crafting!

CUTE & CRAFTY CRAFT CADDIE MINI ALBUM | with Kathy

I love all sorts of mini albums.  Traditional and non-traditional, so when I saw the adorable Craft Caddie from the Cute & Crafty cut files  I started thinking that a 3D caddie would make an adorable mini!  I set to work making an actual tote, and filled it with "cards" that are actually scrapbook pages!  Take a peek...

It's along the idea of a "recipe box" type album... a tote which holds the different pages.  I added some of the fun tools from the Odds & Ends to the tops of the pages so they stick up like an actual tool tote!  Of course, my tool tote is not nearly this neat or this cute!

The base of the box uses the Cute & Crafty Craft Caddie SVG.  I sandwiched a couple of small boxes between the layers to hold the pages.  I added the scissors, craft blade and rub-on tool from the Odds & Ends to the side pockets.  All that was left was to create some pages!

Cute & Crafty has so many fun embellishments, it's hard to decide which ones to use!  I started with these pages, but there is definitely room for more!

I can't wait for my next in person crop!  I plan on taking LOTS of photos with friends to fill this little tote.  Have you made any projects using the Cute & Crafty Collection?  Be sure to tag @doodlebugdesign on Facebook & Instagram.  We LOVE to see your creations!  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by to peek.

CUTE & CRAFTY EAT-SLEEP-CRAFT-REPEAT LAYOUT | with Lisa

Who loves rainbow layouts? :)  I think we all do, right? The new Cute & Crafty collection is not only perfect to document your crafty memories, but also has the most perfect rainbow colors ever. One of the patterned papers especially caught my eye and I absolutely wanted to use it for my next layout...

This rainbow paper is just so pretty and I wanted to create a pretty layout with it. I always like these striped papers and mostly I use them in a horizontal direction. For this one, I wanted to change it and used it vertically. I cut off one of the colors (sadly...;)) and the borders to have a square page and adhered it to a white paper and one of the floral patterned papers to create a beautiful frame.
Then I stitched around it.

To give my rainbow stripes more texture, I stitched a lot of tight zig-zag lines horizontally and vertically, with white thread. Then I took my gelatos and a baby wipe and added some color, to deepen some areas on the paper. It colored the thread as well and this gave the background even more interest.

I went through the Bits & Pieces die cuts and chose the flowers I wanted to use. I placed them on the layout until I was happy with the result. I matted my photo with different patterned papers and adhered it to the background using foam tape.

Then I attached all of the flowers, after distressing the edges, using liquid glue for some and foam squares for others. For the title, I used one of the die cut words and alpha stickers in gold and pink.

From the Odds & Ends die cut pieces, I used five embroidery thread spools in different colors and adhered them to the matching colored stripes. I embellished the flowers with jewels and enamel dots and also used some other little embellishments to finish the page.
I added gold splatters at the end and that was it. I love how colorful and bright the layout is and I love to work with this collection!! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by!

CUTE & CRAFTY PINS | with Wanda

Hello Doodlebug Friends! I'm back with another project I made with the awesome Cute and Crafty Collection! I can't get enough - it's so cute and cheerful! I have been a Doodlebug Pin collector for many years and I love wearing them on my denim jackets or on my backpack. They always make me smile! Are you a pin collector? For today's project I created my own Doodlebug Pins and Buttons! I used a Button Press machine and paper, stickers, embellishments and more from the Cute and Crafty Collection. It was a really happy project, and now I have my own custom buttons to wear! I'm featuring them on my favorite denim jacket along with a few of my favorite Doodlebug Enamel Pins... I made three different sizes of custom buttons....

The new 'create' pin is going to be a favorite for wearing to crafty gatherings and crops! And it's a rainbow too!

This is so true! Happiness IS Handmade! The button press machine takes whatever paper and stickers and photos you want and turns them into a button. I used lots of different items from the Cute and Craft Collection: 6x6 papers, Stickers, Sprinkles, Gingham..... All of my favorite things.

This one uses the 6x6 pencils paper and the sweet smiling scissors embellishment!

 Eat. Sleep. Craft. Repeat!

This one is my favorite! I used 6x6 Cute and Crafty paper and then put the camera sticker and a heart sticker on it. I made the button and then used the My Type Stickers in black to add my name. I am a photographer by trade and often I attend photo meet ups with other local photographers. Now I have my own custom name tag to wear. Love it!

How entirely adorable is that teeny stamp?? And a heart on heart pin!

That's my project for today! Doodlebug brings me such happiness and creative joy. I'm so glad to be able to share a bit with you. I'll see you soon with another project! Until then, happy crafting!

CUTE & CRAFTY SHAPED MINI ALBUM | with Traci

Hi everyone!  I have another fun project to share with you using the adorable Cute and Crafty collection.  This time, I used one of the cutting files from the collection (Craft Caddy) and created a mini album with the design.

I started with the cutting file, which I got in Lori Whitlock's SVG shop here.  I sized the file to approximately 7" wide and created an offset of the base piece (the one with the scissors attached) to create my cover and base pages.

I had to change up one part of my caddie after I accidentally messed up the craft knife on the design.  No worries, I just trimmed the craft knife off with scissors and used a cute roll of twine from the odds & ends in its place.  How cute is that tiny epoxy sprinkle of Doodlebug sprinkles ❤️ ?!

I used all 12x12 pattern papers to cover my base pages.  That washi tape paper above might be my favorite pattern in this collection.  Love the colors and how the tape looks transparent!

The Bits & Pieces are a new product released with this collection.  The flowers above, and the journaling card below, all came from the pack.  Cute right?!  There are flowers, tags, journaling spots, tabs, and lots of super cute pieces for your projects.

I used a lot of shaped sprinkles throughout this album.  The mini hearts above are a favorite, and I also love the new "Cute As a Button" (below) and Cute & Crafty shapes.

I like how the This & That sheet always has cute word stickers.  They work perfectly for little tabs above my photos!  Once my pages were all complete, I used my We R Memory Keepers Cinch tool to punch binding holes and add binding wire.

I LOVE shaped mini albums and hope that my project has inspired you to play with cutting files in different ways.  I use the Silhouette Cameo, but there are lots of machines out there that work with svg files (and LOTS of cute Doodlebug cutting files to inspire you).   Have a great one everybody ... and if you need any product links you are always welcome to visit me over at Artsy Albums!
