Hippity Hoppity, welcome crafty crew to my project today! It's Spring time and who doesn't love re-visiting such an adorable collection, Bunny Hop! This collection is everything cute and darling! I needed to create a new mini album, and this one is special as it has a hard cover and disc bound. Stay tuned to the end for the full video showcase. So let's hop right into my project!
To create this mini album, you'll need two pieces of 6x4" chipboard and one piece of 6x1" chipboard for the spine. Lay down your chipboard pieces onto a 12 x12" sheet of patterned paper and adhere down with liquid glue. Once bone dry, trim around the chipboard leaving at least one inch around the chipboard so you can fold over the edges and adhere down. To cover the inside, use a contrasting patterned paper. Use a bone folder to help create creases for the cover. Now that you've created the cover, simply cut pages to fit within 6x4" and decorate.
To join the pages together, I punch the holes with my Disc Punch, pushed though my discs on the pages and repeated this step with seven more pages. How sweet do these pages look. I love using the cardstock stickers as ephemera pieces to layer and create little clusters. Word stickers here and there add to the charm.
The best bit about making disc bound albums is that you can add and remove pages as you please. Each page simply slots into place and are so easy to turn over. In my mini album, I've created lots of tuck spots and areas to hide journaling in. Each page was a joy to create and the color palette in Bunny Hop is so fresh!
How stinkin' cute does the Honey Bunny Doodle-pop look on the cover? She is so darling with her little basket of flowers and bow with flowers! I've used my scallop scissors to edge the cardstock pieces for an area on the spine so she "pops" right out.
