BUNNY HOP SEWING BASKET | with Miguel

Bringing quilting style to scrapbooking is something I really enjoy doing; it's incredible to see how with a little imagination and creativity this can be possible. Today I made this basket using the cardboard technique, shaping the cardboard to achieve the square form of a sewing basket.

Once my structure was made, I covered it with the beautiful papers from the Bunny Hop collection.  I cut the papers into small strips and textured them with embossing folders to give the appearance of this quilted style.  I then  glued the strips all around my piece.

I  lined the inside with another design from the same collection and reinforced the entire edge with pink faux leather to simulate the bias binding of the basket. I love the result!

For the front part, I embellished with the rabbit, chicken, and eggs from the Odds & Ends, also embossing  to coordinate with the basket.

To finish decorating, I added shape sprinkles, one for each eye, on the rabbit and the chicken. I love the result!

To finish my project, I added ribbon with stitching to maintain the style of my design, and buttons. Thanks for stopping by! I hope my work inspires you! See you soon.
