I love Halloween. The colours, the characters, the treats - it really is just so much fun. And while I almost always make treat containers this time of the year, I wanted to challenge myself to add a little more...well...dimension... to my work. On top of that, it was also a great chance to show some love to some Doodlebug products that I sometimes find a little "scaaaaareeeee".
Enter - Doodlebug Shakers! Okay, I know that these adorable containers of darling little shapes scream "cute", but for this crafter, they often seem a little overwhelming. I have to admit that I admire them all lined up on my crafty shelf without cracking them open very often. But these adorable Halloween Night ones designed to coordinate with the Hey Pumpkin collection are just too amazing not to use. So, I took a deep breath and got down to business - and then I couldn't stop because they were just that awesome!

Six mini milk cartons later, I can honestly say that I am never looking back. Tag-teamed together with some of the amazing Homespun Heavyweight Acetate, these shakers make a darling window like embellishment on these containers. And as cute as they are to look at, they are even cuter to shake!

Of course, it doesn't hurt that the colours and patterns on the 12x12 patterned papers that I used for each one are stunning! The bold contrast of the colours is delightful!

Finally, a few Mini Clothespins in Beetle Black, Limeade, Bubblegum and Tangerine to close them off, these containers are ready for some yummy treats! Does it get any better than that?
