Hats Off Collection - Money Holders by Tya

Hi everyone - it's Tya and I am happy to be here on the blog today to share with you my projects using the amazing Hats Off line. Let's be real - there is no greater gift to a grad than some cold, hard cash! I wanted to share with  you  a couple of fun ways to give you favorite grad a little moolah! I got out my trusty Silhouette and cut out these 2 money holders

The first holder is this fun slider type money holder. I used this file : Gift Money Holder Card
I cut the holder out with some black cardstock and then added some of the fun pattern papers to the card and tag.
The front of the card is decorated with some stickers from the This and That sticker sheet. I also added a Diploma Doodlepop to the sticker and a star sticker as well. I added a black sprinkle to the center of the star for some dimension. I cut a strip of striped paper from the border sheet and notched the ends and stuck them under the sticker to make it look like an award.
I also added the "yippee" tab sticker and a star Cute Clip to the top portion of the cover. I also added a scallop border sticker from the This and That sticker sheet to the top and bottom of the star paper.

The large tag pulls out and holds the money. To decorate the tag I added a double bow of black and white bakers twine to the top.

The next project is a cool fun fold card. I just love making these! I used this file to make it: Hidden Box Gatefold Card. This card was super easy to put together. I just recommend when putting the belly band on to hold it on the top of the card and then wrap it around the back. I cut the box out using some grey cardstock and added the cute graduation icon pattern paper to the outside flaps.
I decorated the belly band with a sticker from the This and That sticker sheet. The pencil and large silver star are from the Odds and Ends pack. The small white star is a sticker from the Icon Sticker sheet and and small silver star is from the Sprinkle Shapes. I added a large silver jewel to the center of the sticker. The sticker is popped up with foam tape onto the belly band that I cut using some black cardstock. I added the flash icon paper from the border strips pattern paper.

Here is what the box looks like when the belly band is taken off and the box is popped open. The money is placed on the inside of the box, but it folds up into a card. It's such a fun card that packs a lot of punch!

That's all I have today - hopefully I have inspired you to make up a few of these for those special grads in your life. Have a great weekend!
