LUCKY ME - LUCKY ME LAYOUT | with Tarrah

Do you love bright and happy projects? Well look no further, todays layout is bursting with rainbows, hearts, shamrocks, and that signature Doodlebug charm'! The new Lucky Me collection was the perfect match for a photo I absolutely treasure of my two sons.

The first thing that inspired this page was the playful mix of patterns in the collection. From happy hearts to charming clovers, every piece feels like a celebration of joy and gratitude. I started with a clean white background so the colors could really shine, then framed the page with the rainbow‑striped patterned paper for that quintessential Doodlebug pop. To create the large clovers, I took my heart dies and the papers from the 6' x 8' paper pad and assembled 3 lots of 4 leaf clovers using foam tape under each heart for dimension.

For the stalks of the clovers, I used various scalloped border strip stickers from the This and That sticker sheet. The adorable sun icon peeking out from the side adds such a happy vibe, and I love how the super cute cloud Doodle Pop and mini icons bring everything together.

The title 'Lucky Me' comes straight from the collection and sits proudly above my photo. The bold lettering paired with the candy‑colored palette makes it stand out beautifully. I added a small sentiment sticker just above the picture to pull in a heartfelt touch.
The photo nestles right among the whimsical mushrooms, birds, and greenery and instantly grounds the layout and creates a darling little scene right at the bottom.

No Doodlebug project is complete without a sprinkle of finishing touches. I added tiny florals, heart sprinkles, and a couple of sentiment tabs like “My Lucky Charm” and “Blessed” to complete the storytelling. These little pops of color add so much personality without overwhelming the design.

This layout came together so effortlessly thanks to the bright, happy pieces in the Lucky Me collection. It’s the perfect mix of playful and heartwarming, and it truly captures how grateful I feel for the moment in my photo.

If you're looking for a collection that radiates positivity, works for everyday memories, St. Patrick’s Day projects, and everything in between—this one is pure magic!

Happy creating!

LUCKY ME POCKET MINI ALBUM | with Niella

Hi crafty friends! Top of the morning to you, or evening depending on your timezone! Let's jump right in with a little jig and your fave pair of comfy pants as I bring you my first sweetiful project created with the new mini Lucky Me collection by Doodlebug Design! My pocket shaped 5x4.5" mini album is sure to please! I have a video showcase at the end to show all the pages, so read through and I'll see you at the end.  Bonus!

For the front cover, I used my favourite patterned paper My Lucky Charm! I cannot get enough of the mini icons, it's all so cute, I need to cover my craftroom walls with this pattern.  For the decorative bits I added the cute Doodle-Pop Lucky Leprechaun, isn't he stinkin' adorable with his striped leggings and dainty top hat! I also included some wired charms to top it off.

The inside page is a stitched page with a vellum tuck pocket for your photos or memory keeping.  Can you see the wee shaker pieces! Doodlebug does Shakers if you didn't already know.  Love the texture this page brings.  The top yellow page is a sheet of yellow glitter foam.  Shimmer me!

The next several pages hold special areas for memories and photos! I love including tuck spots that you can add to if it's needed.  Ephemera pieces can be used to write quotes on or a funny or special saying.  And because my mini album has binder rings, more pages can be added.  Lots of stitching and words add to each page.

How adorable is the last page!  I've created another vellum shaker tuck spot with the sunshine sticker just behind the pocket, so when it's empty it shows his sweet face. The title pieces are from the All the Things ephemera pack which has over 140 pieces! So generous. There is so much cuteness in one pack.  Be warned now, you'll want to use everything all at once :-)

Thank you again for visiting crafty crew! I hope you found some inspiration today! Please remember to tag Doodlebug Design in your Socials when you create with our products so we can all admire your creativity! We love seeing your creations! Until next time; doodle doo!  Enjoy my video showcase!

LUCKY ME FLORAL CARDS | with Karen

So, up here in Calgary, we have been having a really mild winter. In fact, it has been so mild that recently plants started emerging from their winter sleep - that is unheard of in February up here. But, as is with life, winter struck again and we are living in a deep freeze...our little plants hiding beneath the snow (don't worry - they will be okay...even the plants up here are a hardy bunch). The great part about crafting is that I don't have to rely on Mother Nature for beautiful blooms any time of the year. Get out some beautiful Doodlebug paper from the new Lucky Me collection and some Rainbow Textured cardstock, and I can put the winter blues behind me!

So that is is exactly what I did for this set of cards! Featuring die cuts from the Doodle Cuts Bunch of Luck, I used the Rainbow Textured cardstock to cut out each of these beautiful blooms.

I then added some patterned paper from the Lucky Me 6x8 paper pad as a base on top of some of the card bases from Rainbow Cards & Envelopes set. I just love the beautifully coloured envelopes that come in this pack.

I layered up each of the flowers, using regular liquid adhesive for the ones in the back and some foam adhesive for the ones in the front to add a bit more dimension. Finally, I added a little sentiment to each one that I fussy cut from the 6x8 paper pad and I was all set.

Now my kitchen table is covered with beautiful blooms and Doodlebug colour. Spring still can come early! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,

LUCKY ME - ST. PATRICK'S DAY GAME | with Miguel

Working with the Lucky Me collection is very exciting because its colors and designs are so cheerful! Today I created this game, which is a classic—yes, the cat game, as we call it in my country—but this time I adapted it to the theme of St. Patrick's Day.

The structure is made with cardboard and covered with the coordinating Lucky Me Cardstock assortment.  I  then added layers of different patterned papers from the Lucky Me collection.

I cut small cubes with my Silhouette Cameo. I decorated them with  clovers and pots to for St. Patrick's Day, to replace the original X's and O's.   I think that to make it more fun you can add small prizes inside the boxes.

To decorate, I used Puffy Icons  and All the Things.  I love the result!

Now we have a super fun and colorful project for the upcoming St. Patrick's Day. I hope you like my idea. See you soon!

LUCKY ME - LIFE MEMORIES LAYOUT | with Nathalie

Who is wishing for the weather to change and start to warm up just a bit?  Unfortunately it is going to take a little bit longer here in Canada, that means time indoors to work on crafty projects using the new Lucky Me Collection.  Oh the colors, designs, icons, and overall happy feeling is just what you need to bring some cheer to your life.

I  wanted color for this spread and to use the icons in an everyday memory.   So, a simple design was the way to go!

I started with the Limeade Gingham-Linen Petite Print  paper for the background of my page, then I cut a strip of the My Lucky Charm paper and added to the center of the paper.    To frame the photos, I pulled the frame paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad (I fussy cut the sun and cloud from it), then added another piece from the same pad to cover the image on the paper.

I framed the photos with a papers from the 6x8 paper pad, then placed them on the layout.  Then it was all about embellishing.  I used the fussy cut sun to start a line of embellishments from the top to the bottom of the photos.

To create my title, I mixed some pieces of ephemera and added some of the icon stickers to the left and right of the title so that the photos are anchored to the page. I love how the icons fit the photos just right!

To balance the page I combined pieces from the Mini Icons stickers and All the Things at the bottom edge of the page.   This makes the page centered and cohesive.  All I needed were just a few more pops of color using Sprinkles around the major clusters on the page.

I love how this turned out.  The colors and icons make it all pop nicely!  I cannot wait to see what you can create with the new Lucky Me collection. XO

LUCKY ME POP UP CARDS | with Kathy

Sitting here waiting for the latest blizzard to hit, I can't stop thinking about spring!  The Lucky Me collection is perfect for the season, with it's bright, happy colors and pretty patterns! It's helping me deal with the forecasted 24" of snow! I decided to make some 3D pop up cards for my first project, Take a peek...

For my first card, I chose to feature the Bunch of Luck Doodle Cuts.  I love the look of the bouquet of flowers on the packaging, and tried to recreate it in a 3D Card.  The base of my card was made with some Lily White Textured Cardstock and some Pop Up Platform dies from my stash.  I cut the flowers from a variety of papers including some from the 6x8 pad and some from the coordinating Petite Prints pack.

To make the flowers look free-standing, I adhered them to pieces of acetate in a staggard manner so they looked like a bouquet.  The sentiment was done using the tag die from this set and the hello die from the You Are My Sunshine Doodle Cuts.

My second card features the dies from the You are My Sunshine Doodle Cuts.  I love a rainbow!  I pieced it together with some coordinating petite prints and papers from the collection.

I love the SUNSHINE letters in the set!  With the outline cut, they're so fun!  The little heart is from the Bubblegum Heart Puffy Shapes.

How cute is that little sun peeking up from behind the rainbow?  The Lucky Me collection is in stores now!  Don't forget to tag Doodlebug Design on Socials if you create with the collection.  We love to see your projects.  That's it for me today, thank you for stopping by to peek!

LUCKY ME - YOU BRIGHTEN MY DAY MINI ALBUM | with Conny

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Conny here from The Daily Life of Creativity with a fun mini featuring the new Lucky Me collection. It's fun to put together!

To make your own, start by cutting your album base from the Rainbow Drops Heavy Acetate measuring 4 ½" x 8 ½".  Once your piece is cut, score it at 4 ⅛" and again at 4 ⅜". This will provide you with two covers that measure 4 ⅛" each, leaving approximately a ¼" spine in the center.  Fold along the score lines to form your album cover.

Now moving on to the inside pages. Cut one strip measuring 4" x 12" from each of the following papers:  Color Me Happy,  Clover Patch, St. Paddy’s Plaid and Rainbow Skies.

Once those strips are cut, score each one at 4" and 8" to create three connected 4" x 4" panels. These will become your flip pages throughout the album. From the St. Paddy’s Plaid, use the first row of the 4" x 4" cut-apart cards, and score those the same way at 4" and 8".

Next, we are going to create the tag flip insert. From the  Color Me Happy paper, locate the rainbow tag strip that includes the Lucky Me leprechaun. Cut three tags together, keeping them attached. Score those tags in the center to create a flip page because the top portion of the tags will be trimmed later, go ahead and punch holes only at the middle and the bottom of this insert. Punch holes at the top, center, and bottom of each piece. The top and bottom holes are about 3/4" on the acetate. (Remember — the pages are smaller so those you punch separately about  1/2" top and bottom- the tag insert only needs holes at the middle and bottom.)

Now for the 3" x 4" card insert from the cut-apart sheet, take the first two 3" x 4" cards on the left side and keep them connected to create another flip page. Mat these with white cardstock to create photo mats, then embellish using the Mini Icon Stickers for added detail.

To assemble the album:   Start with your acetate cover. Add your first 4" x 4" scored pages extension  so it opens toward the left. Add the second page the same way. For the third page, rotate the scored strip so that the extension opens towards the right. This will give you additional space for extra photos.

Continue alternating page directions throughout the album to create longer interactive layouts on both the left and right sides. In the center of the album, insert the 3" x 4" card flip and the rainbow tag flip insert.
You can also add additional small flip-ups throughout the album using leftover 4" x 4" panels to create more photo space for: 4" x 4" photos, 3" x 4" photos, 2" x 4" photos and 3" x 3" photos.

Thank you so much for stopping by, hope you love creating this mini album - I can't wait to see what you create using this collection. Xo Conny

LUCKY ME - IT'S THE LITTLE THINGS LAYOUT | with Kathy

Hey friends! Brianna Estrella here and I'm so happy to share my very first layout using the new Lucky Me collection. This collection is so fun and happy and I was immediately inspired! Here's my page:

I wanted to bring all of the patterns into this layout so I went through the 12x12 papers in the collection and settled on the beautiful Clover Patch paper. I loved the bright green base with all of the pretty flowers throughout. For my next layer, I wanted a bright pop of pink, so I chose the Bubblegum Swiss Dot paper from the Petite Prints coordinating pack. I trimmed it down to a 10x11size and adhered it down. Then, for even more pop and pattern, from the same coordinating paper pack, I chose the Bumblebee Floral-Graph paper. I trimmed it down to an 8x10 size and layered it on top of the pink paper. Next, I drew some bold black lines around the pink paper to allow it to pop a bit more.

I loved how my base layers were looking and thought I could add a few more patterned layers in, so I pulled out the 6x8 Paper Pad and chose the rainbow paper and the beautiful plaid design. I got those trimmed and adhered down and then matted my photo using the green clover paper. It matched my daughter's shirt in my photo and looks great up against the rainbow pattern. The photo is of my daughter driving her adorable pink car that my parents bought her. She's one lucky girl for sure and she loves cruising down our street everyday!

For my title, I went with "It's The Little Things" and arranged it towards the bottom of my layout. I popped all of the words up on foam tape and then added some of the Mini Icons stickers around it. I love all of the 'little things' in life and to me, they're the most important! I also started to embellish and pulled out that adorable leprechaun driving the orange truck. It was the perfect size and it also became the foundation for the rest of my embellishment cluster.

I added another embellishment cluster up towards the top left of the photo using a few of the die cuts from the All The Things pack. I think that yellow ticket is so cute and it was perfect for this page. I also pulled in a few of the Puffy Icons stickers and a few more of the Mini Icons stickers as well. I love adding all of the smaller elements towards the end. It really brings everything all together!

Here's one last look at this happy go lucky page!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way! I'll see you next time friends!
