SNOW MUCH FUN SNOW DAY LAYOUT | with Brianna

Hey friends! I hope you all stayed safe last week during the insane ice storm. Our son in Northwest Louisiana got a ton of snow and his college was closed all week. It was crazy and I'm grateful he stayed safe. We didn't get snow out where we live, so I dug out an older photo of our dog Luna playing in the snow a few years back. Who doesn't love puppies in the snow?! Here's my page:

To start, I thought it would be fun to change it up and have a patterned paper as my base instead of my usual go to of white cardstock. I ended up choosing the Snow Much Fun patterned paper and I absolutely love the white polka dots! I then went through the rest of the 12x12 patterned papers and selected all of the snowflake patterns. I ended up using these papers: Frosted Friends, Snow Day, Ice Crystals and Wintery Woods. I trimmed the Wintery Woods and the Snow Day papers into rectangles and then trimmed the Frosted Friends and Ice Crystals papers into strips. I layered them all together in an upside down "T" design and adhered them to my base. I love the look of all of the different snowflake patterns together!

I then matted my photo using several of the 6x8 papers from the paper pad and adhered it right in the middle of the beautiful Wintery Woods paper. That blue is just so stunning and really pops on my layout! Next, I went through the Bits & Pieces to find a journaling piece. I selected the notebook die cut, it's one of my favorites!! I added my journaling and then adhered it to the right of my photo. Not only would it be my journaling spot, but it would also serve as another placement for an embellishment cluster! I pulled in a few of the Icons stickers and layered them together on the top left and then made sure to include a snowman piece from the Odds & Ends pack. Adorable!

For my title, I chose the words 'Snow Day' from the Chit Chat pack because this day, was indeed a snow day! It was actually a snow week! For some extra interest, I made sure to pop the title up on foam tape and then I also embellished around it. Our dog Luna is mainly black and white (she has a little brown on her face) so I thought the adorable Penguin Pals Doodle-Pops were the perfect additions to the page!!! I added one near my title and then sprinkled a couple more on the opposite side of my layout.

I then built another embellishment cluster up at the top left of my photo since it seemed to empty in that area. I layered a few of the circle elements from the Bits and Pieces down first, added that cute 'Winter' tab and then followed all of that up with that cutesy bunny and tree. I ended up cutting the circle elements in half so that I could carry them over to the bottom right of the design. This helped balance and ground that cluster that I had started with first.

Lastly, I sprinkled in some of the small snowflakes from the Puffy Icons around the page and then drew some bold black lines around the edge of my layout using a pen from my stash. Here's one last look:

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope that I've inspired you in some way! I'll see you in my next post friends!
