Guest Designer - You're Space-cial Layout | Christine Meyer

We are delighted to introduce our special Guest Designer - Christine Meyer and we know you are going to love Christine and her beautiful designs using our 'So Much Pun collection.

Tell us a few things about yourself:
I’m a mom to three boys and one girl, and my downtime is spent in the paper crafting world. I love all kinds of crafts from scrapbooking to cardmaking to bullet journaling. Lots of Color, stitching, and whimsy are all things you can regularly find on my projects. I create process videos for most of my projects and you can find those here: http://www.youtube.com/cameyer71 I also keep up with Instagram at http://www.instagram.com/cameyer71

What Doodlebug product did you enjoy using the most?
My favorite Doodlebug product to play with was the Odds & Ends!

Three fun facts about yourself:

- I love ice cream and visiting local ice cream shops
- My husband is over a foot taller than me
- I enjoy taking long distance bicycle rides on local trails.

Space-Cial Layout:
As a mom of three boys, I love a collection that can work well for both boys and girls!  So Much Pun does just that!  Today I am going to focus on the space themed elements in this collection to make a very "Space-cial" layout!  Let's blast off to some color and fun!
I was inspired by the striped patterned paper in this collection and that was my jumping off point!  Once I started cutting it up - I knew it would be perfect to do a color blocking of sorts - mixing and matching embellishments from the collection! I did opt in this case to leave the pink out!

Close-ups

There are a lot of details in this layout, take a closer look with me to catch them!

It is more obvious here how the stripes are cut apart and used. For each color I picked out several stickers as well as quotes and icons from the "Odds & Ends" packs.  First I narrowed down which ones I wanted to use then I laid all the big stuff out first.  You can see nearly every line has a big icon or phrase on it.  BUT not every one, that would have been too crowded.

Once I had all the big pieces on, then it was time to add the little details!  Stars, gumballs, and all those little elements that help to pull a layout together!  You can't forget those fabulous Self-Adhesive Sprinkles.  Those don't stray too far from any of my projects!

My title idea came from one of the cut-apart cards patterned papers.  It was too small to work for the title on this one so I just made my own!

You're Space-cial Process Video

For nearly every layout I do, I like to create a process video.  It definitely helps to pull the whole project together as a viewer and lets you see how and why I made my design decisions.

I hope you have enjoyed my layout and video?
I have another two layouts and videos to share with you today so don't forget to pop back at 9am and 12 noon to see what else I have created with this super fun, super versatile range of products from Doodlebug.
