Up here in Canada, we still have about 5 weeks of school left before the summer holidays begin. Now while I am totally excited to see those holidays creeping up, I also always feel like I am in a bit of a pinch this time of the year. With thank-yous to teachers and colleagues that I work with, this mom/teacher is usually throwing together something the last night before school ends. So this year, Doodlebug saved me from that chaos with their new collection -; Sweet Summer - because I just couldn't help but get ahead of the game with this cute collection sitting on my crafting table!
I love this collection so much because while it will be perfect for capturing all of our summer adventures, it is also perfect for a variety of occasions...like summer birthdays or even...you guessed it...teacher appreciation gifts! Nothing says "thanks for your hard work" like an adorable summer/vacation themed collection that screams fun and relaxation!
And while it's true that coffee and chocolate is often a way into the heart of a teacher, so is... ...stationary! And it doesn't get any cuter than these Jelly Clips! This little embellishment becomes a little gift in itself! In fact, I can't wait to adorn my marking piles with them next year! This cute little pineapple is from the Tutti Fruities set...
...and this cute cocktail (as well as the popsicle on the third pillow box) is from the Summer Treats set.
 
The themed stripes from the Punch Plaid patterned cardstock make the perfect layering piece, and there are a bunch of great sentiments available on the This and That sticker sheet!
Add a mini doilie in the background and top everything off with a few Sprinkles...;
...and a washi tape flag (I used Tropical Punch) and you are all set! Sweet Summer celebration time!
Fill a cute pillow box like these with treats or even a gift card and you will greet the last day of school with an "oh yeah, I got this!" (at least until your daughter walks down the walkway with a dripping backpack because you forgot to close her water bottle...yup, true story of last year's last day).
