Summer Planner Pages | with Jennie

It's summer time and it's time to rejoice in all things sunny and colorful - and that is what I intend to do, starting in my planner! The easiest way to do that is with the Doodlebug Sweet Summer collection.  I made my weekly layout feel like hot days and fun activities with a few easy supplies.

In order to really get the effect I was after, I did something completely different for me.  I decorated first.  Yes, I put the fun patterned paper and icon stickers down before I wrote my plans.  Never fear, I had everything pre-planned so I knew which days there were activities and where to leave room for them. And that Hello, Summer cluster in the lower right hand corner?  Easily my favorite!
It's so hard to say that, though.  Especially when you have the Abigail Alphabet stickers taking center stage!  (And, I would for sure say that the last day of school is center stage!)  They are the perfect way to make something super special stand out, am I right?

As you can see, it was still easy to add plans while remaining CUTE. Layering a planner sticker with a punched patterned paper box makes the plans stand out, yet creates something really cute.  Planning can combine the best of what you love about paper crafting but your functional plans, too!

After all of this fun, I am looking forward to putting together the monthly view in a similar fashion!  I'll be sure to share with you when I do!
