Happy Harvest: Home Decor to be Thankful for!

The Happy Harvest Collection lends itself so well to darling season projects like the ones you're about to scroll down and view. Each of these projects is worthy of a PIN and share with your Facebook friends, don't you think? Remember you could win your own box of Happy Harvest if you take a minute to comment and/or share.

Adorable Fall Banner
by Tamara Tripodi

Today I have a ca-uuute fall mini banner to share showing off the new Happy Harvest collection! With all the amazing Doodlebug Design embellishments, it made decorating this banner a breeze. How cute will this be on a mantle or strung across a frame?

I used my Silhouette to die cut each pennant piece. I strung the pennants through some eyelets with brown Doodlebug twine. Those cute pom-pom flowers are also made with Doodlebug twine using a mini pom-pom maker (made by Clover. You can find them in the yarn section of your local craft store).

I really enjoyed making this and hope you LOVE it!

Pumpkin Door Hanging
by Shellye McDaniel

Back during the 'country decor' phase several years ago, I made a lot of stuffed paper wall hangings with brown kraft paper and paint. Since then, 12x12 papers have come on the scene and have made an old favorite even more fun to make!

I drew a pumpkin shape onto a scratch piece of 12x12 paper and then traced it onto two patterned papers (for a front and back).  Although I machine stitched (leaving about a 2" gap at the top for stuffing) around the perimeter of mine, you could also use a quick drying craft glue.  Stuff the top with cotton filler, paper shreds, tissue paper, etc.  You can find all sorts of patterns for various leaves and fruit shapes online or use a die-cutting machine or template. I gave the pumpkin a folk-artsy look by punching 1" circles and then adding them in a fun polka dot pattern.  Add a wire hanger and you have a cute little hanging to greet your autumn guests.
