When I first started working, (a really long time ago, lol) I didn't have a lot of money to purchase holiday gifts. I decided that it would be fun to make an assortment of cookies and give them to friends and neighbors. It soon became an annual event. Over the years I've tried a number of recipes, but always came back to the same few. Each year I pull out the tattered remnants of recipe cards and magazine clippings. This year I decided to collect my favorites into a book. I used the new Home Sweet Home Chipboard Album along with the Gingerbread Kisses and Made with Love collections to piece it all together!
I had so much fun putting together my gingerbread house album cover. I modeled it after the Gingerbread Lane Doodle Cuts. I used some icon stickers from the Gingerbread Kisses collection to set up scenes inside my windows, and added some shaped sprinkles to the outside.
I just love that little gingerbread man peeking out of the window!
I also made a fun tassel for my book using mint Doodle Twine and the little gingers little charmers.
The pages are all covered with papers from the Gingerbread Kisses collection. I printed each recipe on a 4,24" x 5.5" die cut stitched rectangle, which I backed with another paper. On the opposing page, I die cut a stitched square. I plan on taking photos of the cookies as I make them this year to add to the book. I then decorated each of the pages using a combination of Gingerbread Kisses and Made with Love embellishments. I love how easy it is to combine different Doodlebug Collections!
