PUMPKIN SPICE FALL GNOME | with Jennifer

Hello Doodlebug friends. It's finally Fall, and I, for one, am looking forward to some cooler days. Today I have a project to share using the new Pumpkin Spice collection. Hopefully, it will make you feel like Autumn is here, even if you're like me and live in sunny Florida.

I loved all the cute smiling leaves from the collection and wanted to use them in my project. After scouring the Silhouette Design Store, I found an adorable gnome pushing a wheelbarrow and thought it would be the perfect fit for the leaves.

Here you can see the gnomes layers. The thickest point is the hat, which is eight layers thick.

After making the gnome, wheel barrow and base out of foam board and chipboard, I covered the pieces with patterned paper.

For the gnome's hat, I made a pom-pom using a combination of 3 chunky twine colors. Sprinkles, a button, and a few feathers were also used to embellish a small patch on his hat.

Leaves from the cutting file and the Odds and Ends set were layered together and placed in the wheelbarrow. I used a lot of sprinkles throughout this project, including the leaves and wheelbarrow.

I used more die-cuts on the base, some doodle pop mushrooms, and a fox. Finally, some grass cut from cardstock was used to add a woodsy feel to the piece.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Fall, everyone! :)
