PUMPKIN SPICE CARDS | with Karen

There are certain things that I look forward to in each season and Pumpkin Spice lattes are definitely on the list for fall. And now that Doodlebug has released a collection with that very name, there are even more reasons to love this time of the year!

So I decided to create some fall themed cards with the adorable coordinating Forest Friends stamps just in time for Thanksgiving (up here in Canada we are actually celebrating today - Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian crafty friends)!

If you are a stamper like I am am, you are going to love this set! There are so many little details like mushrooms and little leaves that you will be creating scenes to your heart's content. Get out those stamp masking tools because they will come in handy!

And given that there are so many fun textures in the patterned paper, use a little paper piecing to add some of the patterns right onto your stamped images like I did with the scarves on the adorable bear. And if you love lots of layers and textures on your cards, make sure to add some Paper Frills, like the yellow flowers on this card, that take your creation to the next level!

So grab yourself a mug full of your favourite fall beverage and get crafty! Nothing will make you more thankful for this time of the year!

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. What kind of markers do you use? What kind of block do you put the stamp on? What do you use to use the matching cuts? Thank you!! I love these! Ant wait to start using these products!

    1. Hi - I use Copic markers for my colouring and just a regular acrylic block for the stamping. I am not quite sure what you are asking about the matching cuts, but if it is for the paper rectangles, I just use a paper cutter and cut them to the size I want. Hope that helps.
