Sugar Shoppe: Dress Shaped Cards

Hello Doodlebug lovers and welcome to another fun day of Sugar Shoppe projects! Aimee here today to share some pretty dress shaped cards made with this great girly collection!

I found  these great dress shaped card cuts on the Silhouette site and knew they would look absolutely beautiful with all of the fun & fabulous colors and patterns. Once I started making them I couldn't stop! Plus, it's great having these on hand when we are invited to girly birthday parties.

I also added a few of the other new Doodlebug items to help embellish these pretty little dresses. As you can see every one of the cards has a layer of the new vellum.

This one wasn't created with the Sugar Shoppe papers but I knew the chevron glitter cardstock would blend in beautifully!

This pretty little aqua blue striped dress has been adorned with a fabulous sequin waist.

This sweet little dress puts me in mind of a toddler. After I layered it with some vellum, I punch out little flowers from the vellum and adhered them on top.

So happy you stopped by today and hopefully you are inspired by all of the wonderful Sugar Shoppe projects you've seen!

Sugar Shoppe: Mixed Media Project by Sharm

Hello! hello! Who's here for more sugar rush? :) I'm sure you can see what a perfect collection this is..I just cant seem to stop making more goodies with them

Well, since it's my time to share a project I made using the delish Sugar Shoppe Collection, I have something for those of you who are just about to venture into the beautiful world of mixed media :) Something simple to to start with, this canvas is perfect for your kitchen or even just to prop up on your dining room wall

Here's what my project looks like:

Step 1: Using Mod Podge or Multi Medium, first spread some of the medium evenly on top of your canvas.

Step 2: Next, using the side of the patterned paper that you wish to have as your background paper for your canvas, put that side down onto the multi medium

Step 3: Leave to dry. Once it is completely dry, spritz some water and gently rub off the patterned paper till you see the design you have chosen emerge. Continue doing so for the entire canvas

Next, prepare you layers using punch outs, die cuts followed by topping up with the cupcake as the last bit and a wee bit of the garland (for those of you who like me, love to hoard LOL)

Finally, using a stencil of your choice, add some modelling / texture paste (I have used one here to resemble the icing on a cupcake).

Easy, Peasy? I guarantee! You can also add sequins here and there, spray some mists and even add some splats of acrylic paint to give it a more mixed media feel :)

Sugar Shoppe: Fabulous & Fifeteen Layout

Hi Everyone!  Kathy here today with two fun projects I created using the Sweet Shoppe Collection.  Sweet Shoppe definitely goes on the books as one of my all time favorite collections!  I just adore the combination of colors!  For my first project, I created a layout featuring my daughter blowing out her birthday candles last summer.

I loved all of the papers, I wanted to showcase them all!  I decided that a fun layered look would work!  And of course I couldn't pass up using the fun garland!

There are some great stickers with Sweet Shoppe included this cake and balloon!  I used some Bumblebee twine to hand stitch the balloon string.

I also used some of the Sugar Shoppe Pixies to embellish my layout.  They were the perfect addition!

For my second project, I designed this fun shaped birthday card.  We've had a whole slew of Sweet 16 birthday parties this year!  Everything from a simple dinner out with a couple of friends to full scale semi formal dress up parties!  I'm just glad I have until the summer to come up with something, and am thankful that my daughter is thinking more along the lines of a PJ-clad, Just Dance-off kind of party!

I created the card in 3 layers to show off more of the fun papers from the collection!  I added more of the balloon stickers from the Icon Stickers and tied them together with some Doodlebug twine!

Now for something fun!  I'd love to share the cut file I created to make this card!  You can download it here!  I hope you enjoy it.  That's all for me today...make sure to keep checking in to see all of the Doodlebug Design Team's projects!  Thanks for stopping by!
