Fall is my favourite time of the year. You know - those few weeks after Halloween and well before Christmas that you can snuggle up in a warm blanket, put up your feet, and enjoy a warm beverage. It's a slow, comfy time that makes me crave a gentler pace for life.

It is also one of my most favourite times of the year to craft and I find myself tackling gentler projects that I create just because I want to - not because there is a big event coming up - just because. And Doodlebug's Farmhouse collection captures that mood perfectly for me. So this weekend, I decided to create one of my favourite crafts with that collection - cards! Floral themed cards to be exact!

There is nothing fancy about these cards. I simply matted some of the adorable 6x6 patterned papers on some of the Farmhouse assortment of textured cardstock. There are so many beautiful and adorable patterns (can you say, "chickens") in this collection that it was actually hard to choose.

I then added a pretty Mini Doily on each card and then layered some of the die cuts from the Farmhouse Bit & Pieces pack on top. I just love how there are a variety of florals in this pack - some that look like bouquets but also individual flower and leaves so you can layer to your hearts content! I used a bit of foam adhesive to raise the focal point up and then tucked a number of smaller pieces behind for interest. Finally, I just a added a few Sprinkles to add a bit of shine.

I intentionally left these cards without a sentiment so I could use them for whatever I felt like using them for - birthdays, thank-yous, just because! I just think they are so pretty and capture so much of what I love about fall. It really is a Doodlebug classic collection! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,
