Hey crafty friends! I'm super excited for Fall crafting and today I am so happy to show you what I've created using the darling Farmhouse collection. The colors are super warm and so welcoming. The idea come to mind as I was tidying my stash of envelopes and cards one day while storing out my craftroom and I put a pile onto my desk When I went back to put the stack where they belonged, I thought how fun would it be from a stack to an album! And that was it, I was invested. Watch my video showcase at the end to see the flip through.
**Idea** use any envelopes and blank cards you have. Just cut down the card if it doesn't fit into the envelope. I love a good re-purpose and re-use of paper goods! For my project, I grabbed the Farmhouse Assortment Cards & Envelopes pack.
My envelope album is made up of 3 envelopes and 5 cards (2 outside). To begin I adhered the envelopes together using the flap sides. I do not use a lot of glue at first for my projects, this is so if I need to amend anything, it is easy to carefully remove. Only once everything is finished, I will add more liquid adhesive. **Idea** Use more cards and envelopes, you can add as many as you wish!
I have left lots of space for adding hidden journaling, photos, ephemera and tuck spots are always a bonus! Imagine placing an album like this out on the table at Thanksgiving and everyone adding their handwritten sentiments in the moment. Later on, photos and dates can be added! So fun!
I tried to keep everything as flat lay as possible to reduce the bulk of my album. I love how it fans out and then quickly folds back up. In years to come, it will be wonderful to look back on the memories once it's looked back on. There is so much lovely pieces in every Doodlebug collection, and Farmhouse is no exception. You'll be spoilt for choice!
