LUCKY ME SCALLOP ACRYLIC ALBUM | with Conny

Hello crafty Friends, It's Conny here from The Daily Life Of Creativity,  with the lovely Lucky Me collection.  Today I have another fun mini album. This mini album is 5.5" x 5.5" with scalloped acrylic covers. To start my album I embellished the front covers. I used the Shadow Box Insert Kit to decorate them.  It was easy, I used the shadowbox template as a guide, placing it under the acrylic. I used mostly Lucky Me icons stickers, Lucky Me sprinkle assortments, bright shapes, and swapping in the Leprechaun Doodle-Pop to add a little layering among all the other stickers.

I focused my embellishments mostly on the right and middle of the cover, leaving the left corner open to add an acrylic rainbow charm.  I used 1" gold binder rings to bind the album. Inside, I created a shaker with heavyweight clear acetate.  I used 2 pieces stitched into a pocket using my sewing machine.  I filled the pocket with the Rainbow Bright sprinkles, the Lots of Luck shaker mix, some pink sequins, and a few colorful shaker balls. I stitched all the way around and added eyelets at the top just to make sure everything stays secure.

What I really love about my first page is how it layers with the cover. When you look at the album, you see the embellished acrylic first, then the shaker behind it, and then the patterned paper with clouds and rainbows underneath. I love the  movement and depth.

Continuing through the album, I created photo mats using white cardstock cut to 4.25 by 4.25, and then layered those onto some of the coordinating Lucky Me Petite Prints. I mostly used the polka dot sides because I just love how they look.  I alternated the colors depending on the page's patterned paper. I then decorated with  all the beautiful icons and phrases from the All the Things Pack.

I added my embellishments using foam adhesive.  I placed them on the sides of the pages, making sure to leave space underneath so it is easy to slip a photo underneath.  I love doing that because it gives you that layered look, but it still keeps the page functional. I also trimmed down some of the smaller phrases from the 6x8 paper pad, like “thinking of you,” “you have a heart of gold,” and a few others. Those little phrases come in really handy for filling in small areas and adding just a bit more detail without overwhelming the page.

Throughout the album, I continued using the shape sprinkles, especially the Rainbow Bright flowers, adding them into the corners, . I also used some of the cards and envelopes from the collection. I resized some of them slightly by trimming them down to turn them into flip pages. When you flip them up, you have space to add multiple photos or even journaling.

Personally, I like having the option to hide my journaling; not everything needs to be seen right away, sometimes it’s just meant for you or for that special person. On one of the pages, I created a pocket and added a mat using the Lucky Lady shape sprinkles. They’re dimensional and super cute. Inside the pocket, I tucked in some 3x4 cards, tags, and extra pieces from the collection. One of my favorite details is the pink envelope from the cards and envelopes assortment. It’s roughly about 4x4 inches, and it fits perfectly on the page. I added holes at the top and created a simple closure using a 1-inch circle punch, standard eyelets, and some white string, which makes it interactive but still really easy to use.

This mini album is definitely one of the favorites that I’ve created with this collection. I already made a chipboard mini album- See process video here , an acetate album, and even some rosettes, so this is actually my fourth project using Lucky Me - and I’ve honestly enjoyed every single one. Let me know what you think about this one, and I’ll see you guys in the next project.  Thank you so much for stopping by! Xo, Conny!
