Hi crafty crew! It's mid March already and it's nearly time to celebrate St. Patrick's Day! Have you been getting ready with crafty projects or handmade gifts? With only a week to go, there is still time to create something quick, easy and super fun to gift in happy mail or to give your crafty friend at your next get together or swap-meet! Let's get straight into my next Lucky Me project, DIY loaded envelopes and something special to go inside, mini shaker mixes and fun flagettes, no dies needed! And I have a video showcase at the end as well!
I have a tutorial on my YouTube channel showing how to make your own DIY envelopes, so if you do not have an envelope maker or don't want to use premade envelopes then remember to check it out. It's a good way to use up all those patterned papers and pads that you have hoarded and collected over the years!
Don't you just love the look of all the sweetness, bright colors and pure cuteness! Doodlebug always make it so super fun & easy by curating all the matching papers, stickers, icons and patterned papers, you cannot go wrong with your crafting!
Let's talk about the envelopes and what I've used to create them. On the left, I've used the scalloped This & That sticker Lucky Me sticker as the vocal point on top of the envelope made with the Swimming Pool dot-stripe paper from the Lucky Me Petite Print Assortment cardstock pack and lined with the Rainbow Skies patterned paper and sprinkled with mini icons stickers! Super delightful! The gingham envelope is created from the Cherry gingham-linen paper and Clover Patch. I love this one with all the polka dots and sweet gingham style.
Look at that sweet wreath and hanging rainbow charm! Such a great idea to add some Doodlebug twine in the mix! This envelope was created with Shamrock Wishes and the wreath is from the Icons Sticker Sheet. Popping foam dots behind the elements gives my projects dimension and helps pop out the sentiments. Fun! The yellow envelope is from My Lucky Charm and Bumblebee floral-graph papers. Gotta love a good yellow shade and this one is so amazing!
Lastly, to add some extra special goodies to my DIY envelopes, I have created some shaker mixes using Doodlebug Shakers. How many do you have in your stash? I bet you have nearly all of them, they are super duper darling and they come in the sweetest storage jar. To create the mix, I randomly chose a few of the Shakers that I felt that matched Lucky Me, but I encourage you to try creating your own style shaker mix. Then, using the scrap paper, I created some flagettes on white paper straws. Didn't they turn out sweetiful? A sparkly pom pom adds that extra cuteness!
