SNOW MUCH FUN BIRTHDAY & THANK YOU CARDS | with Karen

It has been absolutely freezing up here in Calgary - you know, the kind of cold that makes you wonder why you don't live somewhere else. But the good news is that this weather is the perfect crafting weather! Absolutely no guilt that I am sitting at the table crafting instead of being out and about.

   

And with Christmas behind us, it's a great time to top up my card stash. I have always loved making seasonal birthday and thank-you cards, so the weather, together with Doodlebug's new Snow Much Fun collection, are the perfect combination for the task.

   

These cards utilize the coordinating Cards & Envelopes together with some patterned paper from the 6x6 patterned paper pack for the bases. I did a bunch of layering of die cut pieces from both the Chit Chat and Odds and Ends packs to create each of the little scenes, using foam adhesive on some to add some pop.

   

Um, can we just take a minute to admire how beautiful that snowflake paper is?!!! Okay, moving on...To finish off, I added some Sprinkles for some more texture and I was all finished.

   

I love how this set turned out! I have a feeling they will not last long in the card stash...in fact, one already found a new home for a January birthday in our family. So, if it is cold where you are, take it as a sign that the universe is giving you permission to craft! Not that we needed permission... :) Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,
