If I am being completely honest, I usually spoil the gals in my life with homemade cards made with Doodlebug goodies. But the month of March is filled with special events for the men in my life, so I decided to use the new Lots o' Luck collection to whip up some masculine themed cards.
This first one features one of the cute leprechauns from the Odds and Ends collection! While it would be great to give out on St. Patrick's Day, the sentiment (also from the Odds and Ends pack) makes it a universal theme that you can give anytime you want to show a little appreciation!
And this second one, designed with my Dad in mind, features one of the great Doodlepops in this collection called "cheers". I teamed it up with a couple of sentiments from the Odds and Ends pack and a few staples in this card-makers collection, including some mini paper clips and a mini doily!
I do need to point out the stars of these cards though - the gold glitter paper and foil accents that come in this collection! The glitter paper has amazing texture and adds a special feel to these cards. And the foil accents throughout this collection help to add that "wow" factor that I was looking for.
So while masculine cards may not be the first that I gravitate towards making, I love that Doodlebug has me covered no matter what the occasion might be and who they might be for! Who needs a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow when you have a stash of Doodlebug goodies in your craft supplies?!
