So Punny | Layout with Caroli

I'm really excited to share the first project I made with the 'So Punny' collection. I made this layout to document three things that my little girl likes nowadays. She is nine years old and little by little is changing, turning into a tween, and I'm fascinated watching how she start liking more grown up things. This is why I thought it was important to preserve the memories.

I love that this collection, although being a Valentine's theme, is way more than just hearts, and actually includes several lines of different icons, food, crafts, tv etc which were perfect to use on my daughter's layout.

I created some kind of wreath using a circle cut file and added lots of die cuts and sprinkles in three different clusters of embellishments.

When working on embellishments clusters I usually adhere some of the items with foam dots or something similar, just to add more volume and create a more interesting design. Another good idea is to slightly overlap some of the items on the cluster, to give a more cohesive look.

Inside the wreath I wrote my journaling and, of course, I mix my handwritting with some of the Teensy Typo alphas, I love this technique. I cut word "Isidora" using my Cameo cutting machine and Better Together free font.

This is a very simple layout, but it carries a lot of meaning. I hope you liked this idea and get inspired to work on your scrapbooks. If you have any question just leave a comment!

Have a great day!
