Mix It Up Challenge: Santa Airplane Wall Decor by Jennifer Beason

Looks like Santa has ditched his sleigh and is taking to the skies in his new airplane. Guess he doesn't mind all those cookie crumbs in the cockpit! :)
Hello everyone. Jennifer here and today I'm kicking off the Doodlebug "Mix It Up" Challenge. The team and I were tasked with creating a project mixing two or more collections. Since Christmas is almost here I thought I'd get another festive project done for my shop and complete my assignment at the same time.
For this project I mixed 4 of my favorite Doodlebug Christmas collections, Milk & Cookies, Here Comes Santa Claus, Polar Pals, and Sugarplums.
The Santa in plane and cloud are DB cutting files. Both pieces were cut out of wood then chipboard and foam were used to add layers. Don't you just love those half-eaten cookie stickers... too cute!!!
Because Doodlebug uses their signature colors in all their collections, mixing the old and the new Christmas lines together was easy.
I added some chunky and regular twine to Santa's hat and some fun twine pom-poms.  I also used a little white twine detail on the plane as well. Die-cuts, stickers, and candy shaped sprinkles were added to the cockpit for Santa to snack on.
Wooden snowflakes were painted and glittered then attached to the back of the cloud with some strong twine.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Don't forget to come back tomorrow for more "Mix it Up" ideas. Happy Holidays, everyone! Jennifer
