Holiday Gifts : Gift Card Holders by Tya

Hello Doodlebug fans! It's Tya here and I am up on the blog today sharing with you some quick and  easy Gift Card Holders. Gift cards are boring by themselves, so why not spice them up with a cute holder. I made these with my Silhouette machine and honestly these took 10 minutes to make,  perfect for this busy time of year.

I used the Gift Card Holder Present  cut file to make the gift cards. I used a few of my favorite pattern papers from the Milk and Cookies line, some Gingham/Linen papers and some cardstock to make the holders.I also cut a scallop circle and a white cardstock circle out of cardstock from this Silhouette shape to put some stickers  from the Icon Sticker Sheet on. Cut the pieces out and assemble.

Here are a few close ups of the cards. I added some foam tape to the bow and the icon sticker for some dimension. I also added a white boutique button and some bakers twine for some more decoration. I added a sentiment sticker from the This and That sticker sheet to the bottom of scallop circle.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope I have inspired you to whip up a batch of these cute holders to keep on hand during this busy season! The Milk and Cookies line was perfect for these cards! Happy Crafting and Happy Holidays!

  1. Such a fun way to package up a gift card!!!!

  2. Could you show some work-arounds, old-school type, for those of us who don't have all the fancy cutting machines? I do a lot of my work freehand, but would love it if you have any tips. Thank you.

    1. Hi there. I know Tya used the silhouette, but just in case I thought I would share a Sizzix die that does something similar for those that don't have that machine found here:

Without any die-cutting at all, you may have to get creative with some old-school templates that you trace or try to create the bows and such freehand. :)

  3. So darling! Really love the paper you chose--So bright and cheery together. :)
