Hi there Doodlebug peeps Anita here with you today sharing my take on the fun sketch from Becky at PageMaps. When I first looked at the sketch I wasn't sure what colors I was going to choose for my layout but I had this photo of Mother's Day flowers and thought it would be perfect to think about lovely weather instead of cold and wet.
Once I had the photo I come up with a colour palette for my layout
Grey, pink, green, white, teal and a touch of yellow , I wanted to keep the layout clean
I started with the background using the grey gingham patterned paper
Then using the sweet little polka dot patterned paper for the center
Then I started with the cluster at the top of the layout
Adding a white mini doily and layers of stripes of patterned paper and machine stitching I also made a tab from a die cut then stapled it to the layers then adding part of my title
and to top it off with a flower doodlepop and using some heart shape sprinkles to tie in the colours
To tie in more of the colours at the bottom of my layout I added a die cut from the odds and ends pack
And adding more of the fun shape sprinkles around the die cut
Then I added a few patterned papers tucked behind my photo layers
Att the bottom left hand corner of my photo I created a little cluster of hearts with another tab and
Shape sprinkles and adding the rest of my title
And here you can see a close up of my photo of the Mother's Day flowers
