Easter Basket ID Tags by Wendy Sue

Hello Doodlebug friends!  It's Wendy Sue here with you today, sharing a fun little project that is sure to make the Easter Bunny (and your kiddos) happy!  If you have more than one child, and your children have identical Easter baskets, it might be confusing to the Easter Bunny and difficult for him to know which basket belongs to which child.  But, believe me, the children know which basket is theirs...so to avoid tears on Easter morning, trust me, labeling the baskets with cute little name tags is a VERY good idea!

If you're going to make name tags to label the baskets, you should definitely make them cute! And I'm pretty sure there isn't anything cuter than these little bunnies and lambs in the Easter Parade collection.

To make these cute little tags, I simply started out with some fun papers from the "Hello Sunshine" and "Easter Parade" collections.  I chose a fun tag shaped die to cut the base for each tag.  Of course, you could simply cut rectangles and notch the top two corners as well.

Next, I cut a couple of coordinating patterned papers and layered them on the tags.  I wanted them to be flush with the left edge, but not cover the entire tag all the way to the right side.  I added a cute bright glitter sprinkle to each little paper collage.

The next step was to choose four of the cute little easter critters from the sticker sheet.  Since I have three boys and one girl, I was happy there were enough boy animals!  I placed foam adhesive squares on the back of each animal sticker and added them over the layered papers.

I pulled out my favorite letter rub-ons, the jack & jill alphabet, and added names to each tag.  After that, I simply clipped a colorful mini clothespin onto each tag and tied a coordinating bow with doodle twine.

We haven't even purchased our Easter baskets for this year yet, but as soon as we do, I'll be tying the tags to each basket so the Easter Bunny will know which treats to leave in which basket!

Happy Easter!
