SWEET & SPOOKY MEMORYDEX CARDS | with Conny

Hi crafting friends! It's always great to be with you crafters who share a passion for creativity, DIY projects, and spooky season! Today I’m back with the Sweet and Spooky collection! Whether you're into scrapbooking, happy mail, card making, or any other craft, it's wonderful to have a community of like-minded individuals to share ideas and inspiration with. So, what are you currently working on? I'd love to hear about your latest crafting endeavors! Today I am sharing some memorydex cards and some embellishments I created using the Treat Yourself Doodle Cuts.

Let's start with the memorydex Cards!  You can create memorydex cards with a metal die, cut file or if you don't have these,  simply cut card-stock or patterned paper into 4 x 3-inch rectangles and round the corners. You will need two per card.  To turn the cards into pockets, you want to also cut a 3" X 1" piece of paper and score it at 1/2", then attach it to both sides of the card with adhesive and use a memory desk punch.

If you don't have a memorydex punch, you can  use a hole punch and punch two holes at the bottom center of the card leaving a 1 3/4" gap, and with scissors cut a little slim tunnel in the middle of the hole you made.

Now the fun part!  To decorate you can add embellishments from the chit chat, cardstock stickers, sprinkles to the front of the card, and punch a hole in the top center. Slide the card into the memorydex holder for safekeeping. Memorydex cards can be used for various purposes such as recipe cards, journaling prompts, or even as a fun way to organize your to-do list. For the cards I made I already had metal die!

For my fun candy jar embellishments, I used the Treat Yourself Doodle Cuts to create two little shaker jars. I used the 6x6 paper pad and added some icon cardstock stickers. To give them a little extra sparkle, I included a sequin mix and tulle. They turned out really cute and I'm excited to use them in my next project!
Thank you so much for stopping by! We can’t wait to see your Memorydex cards and Jars!

CUTE & CRAFTY MEMORYDEX CARDS | with Ashley

Hi All! Today I am sharing a set of Memorydex Cards I made using the Cute & Crafty Collection.

I started with some 6 x 6 Petite Print papers and cut them down to 4" x 4." I used my memorydex punch to add the holes at the bottom and stitched around all the sides.

From there I added lots of crafting themed embellishments from the collection- all popped up using foam tape.

I also added different shape sprinkles on each of these cards for some small details. I finished them by adding some Doodlebug twine to the tags.

The back of these cards all have pockets so little notes and journaling can be tucked in.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

FAIRY GARDEN MEMORYDEX CARDS | with Ashley

Hi All! Have you tried making memorydex cards before? Today I'm sharing a trio I made featuring the Fairy Garden collection.

I cut each card twice as high so I could fold it in half and stitch the sides to make a pocket. The height of your cards can vary, but the width is generally 4 inches. Since each card is a pocket, there is space for an insert. The inserts can be used for photos or journaling. (I use a punch from my stash to make the memorydex holes at the bottom.)

The front of each card has one of the cut-aparts from the 12x12 sheets. I also added some stitching details in various colors.

And then I used all the little goodies from this collection to decorate, including the multiple ephemera packs, sprinkles, and shape sprinkles.

I hope you liked seeing the details of this project. Happy Crafting!

NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS DECEMBER MEMORYDEX CARDS | with Stephanie

Hello friends, today I'm sharing some Memorydex cards using a whole lot of Doodlebug Night Before Christmas cuteness! I'm pretty new to the Memorydex system (even though it's been around a while). I thought Doodlebug and December would be the perfect place to start. I'm always up for playing around with new ways to make something fun with pretty paper, stickers, die cuts etc.  I usually do a December memories album, but this might just take the place of that project this year.

Here's a look at the nine cards I have created so far.  I plan to use the cards to write down short memories and attach 2x3 photos to the back of the cards.

I cut each card base with different shaped memorydex card dies and several pattern papers. The fun part is all the lovely layering!

I used Shaped Sprinkles, Mini Jewels, Doodle Pops, Icon Stickers, Odds and Ends and Chit Chat die cuts as well as sentiments from the This & That sticker sheet. I got a lot of practice with paper piecing and layering lots of elements together. The more dimension the better!

Each card gives me a prompt for memories I want to capture on the back, for example one of our family traditions is wearing new PJ's on Christmas Eve. And even though my kids are older, we still leave cookies and milk out for Santa.

Ok, I think I'm hooked onto the Memorydex concept!  What a fun way to document stories, hold photos, write quick memories, store Holiday recipes and display the wonderful art of papercrafting!  Thanks for joining me today.  Happy crafting, friends!
