OH WHAT FUN INTERACTIVE MINI ALBUM | with Conny

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Conny here from The Daily Life of Creativity, and today I’m sharing this bright and cheerful 6” x 8” interactive mini album using the Oh What Fun Collection. This album includes layers, flip pages, interactive elements, and space for over 30 photos — perfect for documenting all your December memories.

Below you’ll find the full supply list and the measurements I used to build the base, cover the chipboard, and create the interactive pages. Check out the YouTube process video.

Back Cover: 8 1/4” x 6”Front Cover: 8 1/4” x 4 1/8”
Spine: 8 1/4” x 1 1/2”

For the outside cover

Light Blue Cardstock: 10” x 12”
All Spruced Up Pattern: 10” x 2”

This will leave a 3/4” border all around after placing the chipboard pieces.
I used a Book Cover Guide Tool to get the perfect spacing, including a 1/8” gap between each chipboard piece before wrapping the cover.
Wrap everything using strong double-sided tape.

Inside Cover Pieces

Light Blue Cardstock: 2 1/8” x 10”
All Spruced Up Pattern: 9 3/4” x 10”

Adhere these inside to finish the cover.

Inside Pages & Base Structure
I used white cardstock for all pages:

Main Pages
Page 1: 12” x 8 1/8”
Score at 5 3/4” and 6 1/4”
Page 2: 11 1/4” x 8 1/8”
Score at 5” and 5 1/4”

These create the staggered, cascading effect when layered together in the album.

Chipboard Measurements

Your closure can be placed on either the left or right side. The album I’m showing today opens from left to right with a cascade-style look.

Covering the Chipboard
Flip Pages

Large Flip Pages
6 1/2” x 6”
Score on the long side at 1/2”

Small Flip Pages
5 1/4” x 3 3/4”
Score on the long side at 1/2”

Placement of Flip Pages

Small Flip Pages

Adhere to the first page (the 5”x 8" page)
Place them 2 1/8” down from the top
Attach one on each side, mirroring each other

Large Flip Pages
Adhere to the middle pages
Place them 1 1/4” down on each side
These also mirror each other.

Matting the Pages

For matting the inside pages, I used the 6” x 8” Paper Pad. Collection. Since the base pages measure 6” x 8”, the patterned mats are trimmed slightly smaller to create a clean border around the edges.

Trim your patterned papers to 5 1/2” x 8” You will need six (6) pieces in this size to mat the larger full pages inside the album.

Smaller Front Page
Trim your patterned papers to 4 3/4” x 8” You will need two (2) of these mats for the first smaller page that sits on top of the cascading layout.

Photo Mats

The album can hold several 3” x 4”, 5" x 7" , 2" x2" photos, so I created my photo mats with a nice border. Photo Mat Size: 3 1/4” x 4 1/2” This gives the perfect landing space for a 3” x 4” photo, leaving about 1/8” border around the photo for a clean layered look.
You can add these photo mats throughout your pages, flips, and interactive elements to maximize your photo capacity while keeping everything cohesive.

To finish the album, I embellished every page using a mix of Puffy Stickers, Cardstock Stickers, Doodle-Pops, Puffy Icons, Puffy Words, and even the Odds & Ends from the collection. I love mixing different textures and elements to create dimension, so you’ll see layers of foam adhesive throughout the album. Every little piece adds personality, color, and movement, bringing the Oh What Fun! collection to life on every page. Xo Conny!

SNOW MUCH FUN INTERACTIVE MINI ALBUM | with Conny

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Conny, and I am thrilled to showcase my latest creation with all of you today. I have meticulously crafted a stunning project using the Snow Much Fun Collection. This album is the perfect place to exhibit your favorite photographs for this or previous winter/ snow days, as it is brimming with interactive pages that add a touch of creativity and uniqueness to your display.

Let's get Started! To create the base,  I cut two pieces of chipboard, each measuring 7" X 4 1/4". I also used one more piece of chipboard measuring 7" X 1.5" for the spine. I covered each of these pieces with double-sided cardstock featuring a snow-themed design. To combine them, I used a piece of white cardstock from the Snow Much Fun Textured Cardstock Assortment, measuring 3.5" by 6". I scored it at 1" and 2 1/2", leaving 1" on both sides so that I could place the chipboard spine in the middle. I left 1/8" gaps between the front and back covers.

First, I covered the chipboard inside the album with matting paper. For the inside cover chipboard, I used paper measuring 4 1/8" by 6 7/8". I made a simple hinge for this one with a piece a cardstock measuring 2" X 4 1/2", scored at 1/2" by 1 1/2". Adhere it in the center of the spine.

For the first hinge, I used cardstock measuring 11 3/4" by 6 3/4", scored at 3 3/4" and 7 3/4".

For the middle page, I used paper measuring 6 3/4" by 7 1/2", scored at 3 1/2" and 4". In the middle of that page, I added another flip page on the right measuring 6 3/4" by 3 3/4", scored at 3 1/2".

On the last hinge, I added a pocket. I cut  one paper to measure 6 3/4" by 4" and another paper 7 1/4 by 4".  I scored both papers on the longer side 1/4" and glued,  leaving the right open for a pocket.

Next I transformed my cover  page into a masterpiece ! I have crafted a stunning Shaker box and adorned it with adorable Doodle-pops and to top it off, I used the high-quality Clear Heavy Weight Acetate to showcase the sequins and embellishments. I added the Snow Much Fun Cute Clip with a few lovely beads on the spine, and I absolutely love how it turned out!

Have you seen the Frosty Furry Doodle Cuts? I sprinkled those snowflakes throughout the album, along with some Chit Chats and Bits & Pieces. I can't wait to see what you all create using the Snow Much Fun Collection! Take care and see you all soon. XO

SWEET & SPOOKY INTERACTIVE MINI ALBUM | with Conny

Hello spooky friends! It’s Conny and Autumn  is here, finally!  I’m excited to be hereto share my  7” X 5 “ album using the Sweet & Spooky collection. This is a very interactive, fun album - filled with pockets and pages for a ton of photos and space for journaling! I know that many of us  take pictures of everything spooky this time of the year, and sometimes is hard to just a few of those awesome spooky photos! I mean, I take pictures of everything- even the decorations at Target or Costco! Hehe! Spooky houses in the neighborhood, food, my daughter, and much
more. Let me know if you are planning to make spooky cards, layouts, or maybe this album.

Let’s get started! To make the base of the album you will need (2) 7” X 5” chipboard pieces for the front and back covers and (1) 7” X 2” piece for the spine.  I also used cardstock in white and black to cover the chipboard.  I put the spine and covers together leaving about 1/8” of an inch gap between the covers and the spine. This prevents the album from breaking/ tearing when opening and closing!

Next, let's make the hinges, You will need a piece of cardstock measuring 6 7/8” X 12” in either white or black.   Score this piece  at 2”, 2 1/2”, 3”, 3 1/4”, 3 3/4”, 4 1/4”, 4 1/2”, 5”, 5 1/2”, 5 3/4” 6 1/4”, 6 3/4”, 7”, 7 1/2”, 8”, 8 1/4”, 8 3/4”, 9 1/4”. Add double-sided tape to every half inch segment on one side and adhere leaving the 1/4” of an inch in between every hinge! Add double-sided tape or liquid and glue to the hinge and adhere to the spine of your album. I added 1/8” of the mirror card-stock between the hinges from the first page to the last!

I matted the front and back covers of the album with the Trick or Treat paper using the scene with the spooky houses and the back of that for the pockets!

For the pockets on the front and back you will need a piece of paper 3 1/2” X 6” scored at 1/2” on the long sides and once at the bottom to create the pocket! I used a circle punch to create the openings!

Okay.. we are looking great! Now, let’s put the pages for the hinges. I started with the first four pages with side pockets. You need four pages measuring  4 3/4” X 7 1/2” scored 1/4" bottom and top on the longest side 1/4”.  For the backing of that paper you will have four pages measuring 4 3/4 X 7”. Adhere those together leaving the sides open creating a pocket with two sides open!

To add the pages to the first four hinges, slidie the hinges in the opening of the pocket. Add double-sided tape or liquid glue to both sides of the hinges to make sure the pocket is glued on both sides.

Now for inside the pockets, I added pages and cards! Here are the details...

Single page 4 1/4” X 6 3/4” and 8 1/2” X 6 3/4” for the cards scored at 4 1/4”. Add tabs from the bits and pieces- Halloween, Trunk and Treat, October, and I Heart Candy!

For the fifth page, I used the heavy-weight acetate to make a pocket, 10” X 6 7/8” scored at 4 3/4”, 9 1/2”. The last page has the same measuring as the fifth!

For my interactive elements....

Page 1 - on the top of this page, I added a piece that flips up and down.  It measures 4 1/4" x 5', 4 1/2" x 6"scored a 1/2" on the longest side

Page 2 - You need paper measuring 8 1/2" x 6 3/4", scored at 4 1/4"

Page 3 This one is fun!  You need a piece of paper measuring 11" x 6 3/4" scored at 4 1/4" and 8 1/2" on the longest side.  In the middle you will add a flip up page measuring 4 1/4” X 7 1/4” scored at 6 3/4” adhere it to the back of the page.

Page 4 - You will need two pieces of paper measuring  6 3/4” X 3” and 6 3/4” X 4” scored on the longest side at 1/2"  I added magnets to all these pages to keep them closed.

Then I embellished!  Forr the cover I kept it pretty simple,  bringing the images from the background, the spiders, bats, and ghosts creating little clusters. Sprinkled mini jewels! On the spine I added the just charming charm and some tulle.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I can’t wait to see what you create using Sweet and Spooky Collection!
