Hey friends!! Happy Christmas week! I hope you have the best holiday season friends. I'm thrilled to share another layout using the Oh What Fun collection. We LOVE advent calendars in our house, so I thought it would be fun to document one of our favorite festive traditions. Annie got a Little People calendar last year and she absolutely loved opening a door every day. Here's my layout:
I wanted a fun design on this page, so I took the Here Comes Santa 12x12 paper and trimmed it down to an 8.5x8.5 square. I also trimmed the Check The Halls 12x12 paper down to an 8x8 square and lastly, I trimmed the Spot of Cheer paper to a 7x7 square. I layered them all together from biggest to smallest, turned them on their side and centered them on a piece of white textured cardstock. I thought it would make a fun foundation for my photos and embellishments.
I think it's fun to print photos at different, non-traditional sizes so I used a collage layout from the app Pic Stitch and arranged 4 different photos on the layout. I matted them using a pink paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad (to match her pjs) and adhered them down using foam tape. The longer photo is such a fun way to display a cute moment!
I built a few embellishment clusters around the photos using the adorable Hello Santa Doodle-Pop as well as a few pieces from both the Bits & Pieces and the Odds & Ends packs. I wanted to add a lot of toys, elves and Santa type pieces since the photos are playful and fun.
In lieu of one large title piece like I usually have, I opted to choose two phrases from the Puffy Words sticker sheet. I adhered them along the top left and bottom right angles and made sure to choose the colorful words to pop off the page even more. I love how it turned out!!!! It really has the viewer moving their eyes around the whole page.
For some last minute touches, I added in a few Oh What Fun Sprinkles and a cute 'traditions' tab at the top of one of the smaller photos. Here's one last look:
