Merry Christmas crafty crew! With less than one week to go, we're now in the last lap until the big day, Christmas day, how exciting! Have you been documenting the little things this December? I have so many candid photos of wrapped gifts, my Christmas tree and candy themed projects to name a few. I also like to keep scraps of gift wrap I've used as well. As soon as the New Year hits, it'll be a great time to print my photos and start memory keeping. So fun! For my last Oh What Fun blog post, I've created a favorite, a 6x4 hardcover mini album. Stay tuned for the video showcase at the end!
For the front cover, I used a 6x4 chipboard sheet and covered it with the Twinkle Tree paper and edged the page with a scalloped strip of white cardstock. I like to use a solid cardstock next to the spine to allow the accent to really pop! How sweet is the Doodle-Pop Dear Santa! I've added the Goody Goody Gumdrops gingerbread Shape Sprinkles as little companions, adorable!
Let's open the mini album and take a peek at the first page! To create this page, I've cut six tags as one piece from the 6x8 paper pad and mounted it onto the Christmas Magic specialty acetate sheet. Doing this helps to not only make the page bigger, but have something to punch my disc holes into. On the back, I've simply added another 6 tags and decorated this page too.
Another fun page is the next page over, it's basically already made! All I've done to add texture and dimension to this page is machine stitch and added one of my favorite wee elves! Cute!
The next page is one of my favorite spreads, here you can add mini photos or memories. Even a gift card would fit on here. A fun idea would be to print a 6x4 photo and disc punch on it and add this as an actual page! How cute are the wee elves with the doodle-twine! The happy holidays from the Puffy sticker sheet.
Another strip paper from the 6x8 paper pad has been used here, to help pop the train, I've cut a couple train cabins and used pop dots to add dimension to this page. Looks so cute topped with doodle-twine. Can you tell I absolutely love using doodle-twine! It's just so versatile.
The green gingham paper called All Spruced Up has been used to create some tuck spots at the front and the back. Tuck spots are easy to create and adding them to your mini albums allows you to add extra things in! So festive. The more hidden spots, the merrier! Stay tuned to watch my video flip thru!
Thank you again for visiting crafty crew! I hope you've found inspiration today! Please remember to tag us in your Socials when you create with Doodlebug so we can all admire your creativity! We love seeing your creations. Wishing you and your family a very Happy Holidays! Until next time; doodle dee!
