SWEET & SPOOKY HALLOWEEN COUNTDOWN | with Kathy

I'm excited to kick off a week of Sweet & Spooky inspiration!  This collection is just so cute, I love all the little icons!  A couple of years ago I created a fun Halloween Countdown calendar, and gave it away to a friend.  I decided to create a new one using the Sweet & Spooky Collection so I could have one for myself!  Take a peek...

For the base of my project, I started with a step card cut file from Lori Whitlock.  I cut the file with some Beetle Black Cardstock from the Sweet & Spooky Coordinating textured cardstock pack.  

To create my scene, I pulled out my Haunted Manor Doodle cuts to die cut my haunted house.  I used papers from the 6x6 pad and some coordinating cardstock to build the house.  To embellish further, I added some acetate trees, ghosts and the moon from the Odds & Ends pack.  I also added lots of puffy icon pumpkins, spiders, stars...and of course that cute black kitty!  The Halloween word is from the Chit Chat pack.

For the countdown side of my calendar, I started with some Beetle Black Alphabet Soup Puffy Stickers. To create my numbers, I cut 1"x1" pieces from the Stardust Heavyweight Acetate, and added some Alphabet Soup Numbers to each tile. They are held onto the base by a beetle black mini clip.

To hold all the numbers, there's a little pocket you can add to the back of the base.  I decorated it with a couple of stickers from the Icon Sticker Sheet.
