Let the December Documenting start! And what better way to get started than with the gorgeous new Candy Cane Lane collection. After 2 years in quarantine, we are finally ready to get together for the holidays, but still have a few memories of those Christmas memories we spent at home. Let me show you what I have created:
This is my nephew, Covid, and his gingerbread house in 2021. I knew that I wanted to bring color and all the cute embellishments to the layout.
I started with the background, I simply crossed some of the patterned papers to give me the shape of the roof of a house. I added the scalloped border to bring the feel of the roof. Then it was all about playing with layers of paper. I am using patterned paper from the 12x12 pack and 6x6 paper pad as well as on of the recipe cards
I kept playing with different embellishments to keep on adding to the layered look of the page. It was so easy to put the page together mixing and matching all the small pieces. I even used some My Type alpha stickers to add details to the recipe card in the background.
I added one of the large houses from the Odds and Ends pack to help me tell the story of the gingerbread house. So, I looked for a few more elements to help me ground the embellishments to the page.
To complete my title, I mixed pieces from the Chit Chat pack with Alpha stickers. A few enamel dots and extra small embellishments complete my page.
I just love how this turned out, the new Candy Cane Lane Collection is just so filled with color, embellishments and the cutest icons for your December memories. You are going to love it! XO
