CHRISTMAS MAGIC MICRO PLANNER | with Anabelle

Hi everyone! It's almost the most wonderful time of the year and I am gearing up for it. Today I have a fun little micro planner to share with you. I love creating these! This one will be one that I carry during the holidays. I decided to use the cute gingerbread and sweets themed motifs for this planner. It will be the one I carry in my purse and I will be jotting down recipes, gift ideas and other notes in it as December progresses. It just makes me happy to look at it. I created a cover for it, as well. Here's how it looks from the outside.

To create the cover, I selected my patterned paper. I loved this one with all of the candies and gingerbread men on it. I cut it to 5" by 12". I scored it three inches in from the left side and folded it in. Then I diagonally cut down from the edge to the fold. This would create the pocket. I laminated it with the pocket folded in and then cut the slit once I was finished. I added some ribbon on the spine and made a little swag from one of the die cuts and a gingerbread brad. I attached it to the string with the clothespins.

Here's a view of the little planner inside the cover. You can see the small elastic that I added to hold it shut. I punched a hole in the center of the spine and slipped it through, knotting it on the inside. The ribbon holds the planner into place.

I tucked a couple of tags that I cut from the patterned paper and added some shape sprinkles to the pocket.  I also clipped one of my favorite die cuts onto the pocket.  I love how everything coordinates so perfectly.

Here's the cover of the Micro Planner. I cut two pieces of patterned paper to 3.25 by 4.25 inches, rounded the corners and laminated them. Then, I added them to the blank planner pages on the discs. I used a round tag and topped with with the cute Gingerbread House Doodlepop. I love having dimension of my planner covers. The little candy Shape Sprinkles were a perfect touch, too.

Finally, I made three dividers to add to the inside of my planner. I added a sticker tab to each of them. I popped them up with foam adhesive. This first one uses a large sticker and a couple of die cuts. I love how the backside of the patterned paper on the cover looks next to this divider.

I used the gingerbread paper and the sweet elf along with the little cake die cut on this divider. I love the little characters that go along with this collection. They are especially cute on the Jelly Clips that are peeking through!

Of course I added a gingerbread man die cut on my last page! I'm getting hungry just looking at him.
Creating this little Micro Planner was so much fun. I love how I can design a new cover and inserts when the seasons change. It's quick and easy to do.  Thanks for stopping by!
