Onion Envelope Mini Album | Virginia Nebel

I love making little mini albums because you can include lots of little photos and cute embellishments to tell your story.  The mini album I'm sharing with you today is a bit of a hybrid, it can house plenty of photos but it folds up very compact making it very convenient to send it away to loved ones.

The next few photos show the sequence of the onion envelope as you open it.

I've named this hybrid mini album the Onion Envelope - because as 'Donkey' says to 'Shrek' "Onions have layers".  It's a layering of envelope templates with an accordion file nested in the centre.  There are lots of little nooks and crannies to place your photos and journaling.

I have used a combination of the  Down On the Farm 'Odds & Ends' and 'Chit Chat' die cut pieces to decorate the inside of the album because they go together perfectly and create a wonderful little story along the way.

TIP: It's a good idea to keep your embellishments fairly flat as this style of album is perfect for gifting to someone and sending directly to them via the postal service. It makes a lovely surprise.

I have created a little video on how the onion envelope opens to reveal all the layers.
