Hi, Doodlebug fans! Jennifer here, and today I will be sharing a project that features the new Anchors Aweigh collection. My nephew and his girlfriend are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their first child, so I was inspired to create a centerpiece that could work for a baby shower, a welcome gift or first birthday.
Paper mache boxes were stacked together to create the base, then covered with patterned papers. The crab was drawn, then cut out of chipboard and foam core. Once the base was covered with paper, I began adding stickers, borders and die cuts to the piece, to create an "under the sea" look.
Some chunky twine was twisted and threaded through an anchor sticker.
Lots of Bubble sprinkles were then scattered around the project.
Here are some more fun sticker close-ups. :)
If you're in love with this collection, be sure to come back for some inspiring ideas from the rest of the design team this week and next. Happy crafting, Jennifer
This is just the cutest!
