2016 Design Team Introduction: Traci Penrod

I love everything about scrapbooking. The products, the creative outlet, the scrapbook community, the inspiration, and the friends I scrapbook and "virtually message” with.  I have made it my business and spend 40+++ hours every week playing with paper and glue (thank goodness my hubby is a golfer :) ).  It feeds my creative side, allows me to have a positive, fun career, and keeps me from going crazy now that Jack and I are empty nesters.  I have a passion for archiving photos and documenting stories in fun, colorful, and unique ways … and I LOVE mini albums.  Aside from my family and friends, scrapbooking IS my life and I can’t imagine my life without it.  I have loved Doodlebug from the beginning … the colors, the way everything matches, the critters!, the twine and boutique buttons, and THE PEOPLE!!!

I’ve been married to my high-school sweetheart for 27 years and we have two sons, 24 and 21 years old.  I live outside Atlanta, Georgia and have been scrapbooking since high school, when I lost my mom to breast cancer.  I began scrapbooking as a way to save photos and memories of her, and this hobby eventually grew into a full time passion.  My career has gone from the pharmaceutical industry to the scrapbooking world and I’m never looking back.  I love the products, the community, and the ability to wake up everyday and play with paper and glue.   My mission:  to encourage others to save their stories, preserve their photos, and document their everyday lives.
