  2. All of these are so cute! Iur tradition besides trick or treating is we go to a church event called the Hallelujah Hoedown. It's pretty much a fall festival and "non" halloween party but the kids still wear their costumes and collect candy from all of the booths set up. There are games, food, a chili cook off, hayrides, inflatables and face painting....bit fun even for us big kids :) Thanks for the chance to win!

  3. I love all the cards! The eek card is very neat! Aside from the Trick or Treating we always make a trip to the local Pumpkin Patch before Halloween and my kids also love dumping their loot out on the living room floor to see what they got!!

  4. These are great - especially EEk - love that. My favorite tradition is a toss-up between decorating the house and finding spooky recipes to serve on Halloween.

  5. Oh, these are all wonderful.
Melinda, your alphas card is so clever...and the little semicircles for the spiders...*LOVE*

Monique & Kathy, your stitching, gems, and fun elements make your cards spook-tacular.

My favorite Halloween tradition is passing out candy to the neighborhood children. I love to see the various costumes and the children's sweet smiling faces. Thank you for the chance to win Haunted Manor!

  6. These are awesome cards!! So fabulous!!

We don't have too many Halloween traditions around here other than the stand-by of trick-or-treating for my girl! I do love seeing her get dressed up and enjoy going door to door.

  8. Our favourite family Halloween tradition is attending a special dinner hosted my a travelling gypsy. This gypsy was once a hobo who served a dinner of worms in blood (spaghetti) with bone bread to me as a child. Now the gypsy serves a similar meal to her grandchildren (my sons) even though they are 17 and 14. It's a family tradition that has spanned at least 35 years and crossed generations.

  10. Our favorite Halloween tradition is definitely going out into the pumpkin patch and picking our own pumpkin. Follow that with some fresh apple cider donuts and some apple cider and we have the perfect day.

I love this new collection! Could be my favorite halloween one yet!

  14. I started a new Halloween tradition last year - going to the local pumpkin fling! These kids and groups of adults get together to build giant launchers that will (hopefully) launch pumpkins really really really far. It's so cool!

I love these cards, too. The Eeek card I am definitely going to have to scrap lift!

  20. I love when you wonderful people put up great projects for me to scraplift!!!! My Halloween tradition is to put up my Christmas Lights while waiting for the Trick-or-Treaters. (Note: they do not get turned on until the day after Thanksgiving.) Living in Chicago one day it could be 85 degrees and the next 30 with snow. My neighbors often laugh at me, however I usually get the last laugh when they are putting their lights up in the cold and snow!!

  40. My favorite Halloween tradition is making my kids costumes (with a little help from Mom, of course!). They are getting older and not so much into trick-or-treating so I guess I'll have to wait for grandkids! But not anytime soon, I hope!! LOL

  41. My favorite Halloween tradition is being able to dress up in spite of going trick-or-treating or not. The fact that you can spend a whole day in costume without anybody thinking you are a ghoul for doing so is the best part of the whole affair for me and for my kids! Thanks for the chance to win.

  42. My favorite Halloween tradition is going to our local farm and taking a hayride to pick out our pumpkins. They also have a pretty elaborate corn maze and if you are able to find all of the secret boxes, you're rewarded with a cinnamon sugar donut. They are soooo good and they make them fresh while you're waiting. We usually buy several more. I look forward to it all year!

  43. When my children were small, my favorite tradition was making their costumes. Since I don't have children at home anymore, we love to sit on the porch and watch all the cute kids running up the street in their costumes.

  44. My favorite Halloween tradition is going to the stores that carry costumes with my two older daughters and we try on the ugliest masks and take pictures of each other. My stomach hurts so bad after that day because of all the laughing we do. It is just so much fun! We've started taking the two grandchildren, ages 6 & 8, because they love doing it just as much as we do.

  55. My favorite Halloween tradition is that the Art Club at the kids' school makes a haunted house each year. It's fun to hear my daughter talk about the secret plans they have and what they are creating for it. The club members also have to come up with costumes that fit with the theme. It's very creative and fun for all!

    ReplyDelete
  56. My favorite Halloween memory was of my Mom making a handmade costume for me every year! I got to choose the theme and help design the costume. One year I was Mrs. Potato head, and another year I was a princess on a white horse!

  57. When I was little, I would always go around to the houses of my close relatives and then the last stop would be my grandmother's house. All of my cousins would end up there and we'd share candy and take pictures and top off Halloween night. Now, with my daughter, we do some of the same by going around to those same aunts and relatives. It's a way for her to share a piece of Halloween memories with me!

  63. What CUTE projects, just adorable, my fave is the eeek card! Halloween traditions..well we just recently started a new one and I can't wait to continue it. We all dress up as a family and visit a nearby camping park. All the campers deck out each site with Halloween decorations. The kids just LOVE it, it's like walking through a Halloween land. I get great pictures to scrap too! :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. Well, as I have no kids, I can't say I really have much in the way of traditions, but I have been dressing up as a witch to hand out candy each year for the past 10 years.

    ReplyDelete
  65. We host an annual halloween potluck where everyone brings a "spooky" edible dish to share. I remember one year someone brought a crockpot of chili that actually GLOWED ... and bandaids made out of a graham cracker slice, some white frosting in the center for the patch and then the red frosting dabbled on it to make it look like blood on a used bandaid - the kids LOVED IT !!!

    ReplyDelete
  66. I make a pot of chili. Have hot dogs, hot tamales, and all the fixings (cheese, etc). We set up a fire pit in the drive-way and sit around it, visiting with everyone. We pass out candy and give peanuts to the adults. Fun evening.

  67. I absolutely LOVE and I do mean love to make Halloween cards. Every year I make more cards then I send. Matter of fact I've already started making them this year! I love doodlebugs Halloween collections every year, they are always so cute and fun to create with!

  70. Two of my favorite traditions that my Mom would do is the morning of Halloween she would make oatmeal with orange food coloring and a couple of pieces of Halloween shaped candy on top (or jelly beans) along with using a cookie cutter to press a shape into the toast.

Next, she would put together a small holiday treat bag that had a little bit of candy and some fun small Halloween toys.
