DOWN ON THE FARM HOGS & KISSES LAYOUT | with Erica

Sometimes a paper from a collection stands out to you and an idea hits! Well this was true for the Red Bandana paper from the Down on The Farm collection from Doodlebug Design!

The jean pockets on the paper were just perfect for fussy cutting and creating a grid style layout! I distressed the edges of each pocket and created a grid. I used the Chicken Coop 12x12 pattern paper trimmed down to 11.75x11.75 and adhered to the 12x12 Country Garden paper!

I have the cutest piggy photos from my friend Allyson and I knew this collection would be perfect! I pulled out all the piggy die cuts and chit chat pieces and started to lay out the photos and embellishments!

For my title I used the large chit chat piece that says Hogs & Kisses! I popped it up right in the middle of the grid and love it! When creating grids I like to treat each little section like a mini layout!

Each photo is matted using a paper from the 6x6 Down on The Farm paper pad. I used the Down on The Farm Odds & Ends, Chit Chat pieces and mini icon stickers.

To finish off my layout I sprinkled some Down on The Farm Sprinkles and some journaling!

This layout was so fun to put together and I am so happy I could use a lot of the adorable pigs!

DOWN ON THE FARM SO BERRY CUTE LAYOUT | with Karen

It may be hard to believe that we had snow up here in Calgary last week, but indeed we did. I love living here, but the spring time snow can be a lot sometimes. So I am celebrating all things "no snow" with the adorable Down on the Farm collection this week. And I decided to dig into my collection of photos to scrap some that remind me of the green to come.

This collection is one of my favourites because there is so much you can do with it. Even though it is filled with adorable animals, you can create a gardening themed page with all the adorable Odds and Ends die cuts too!

Odds-and-Ends

I decided to create a little scene to celebrate my own little gardener in this layout that celebrates our strawberry patch. With a little foam adhesive and some layering, this little scene creates a cute secondary focal point for this layout. There are so many great die cuts to choose from!

Flies

Ummm - does it get any cuter than these two?

Stickers

To add a few more details to the layout, I also used some of the sentiment stickers from the 12x12 sticker sheet right on and around the photos.

Title

And for the title, I simply used some of the awesome Doodlebug Alpha Stickers to draw some attention to the theme of the layout. With the help of some Sprinkles in Beetle Black, I was all done!

There isn't even a hint of snow in this layout. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! Thanks for stopping by!

DOWN ON THE FARM GIFT SET | with Wanda

Did you know that we continually stock our 'All Occasion' collections until we replace them with a new version? So, if you have a favourite non-holiday themed collection that you would love to top up your products, you can! Simply mention it to your local scrapbook store or your on-line store and they can order what you are after. And just to refresh your memory on how adorable our 'All Occasion' collections are, we thought we'd have our design team create with one of our most popular ever... Down On The Farm.

Howdy, y'all! Wanda here on the blog with a fun card and gift box made with the super cute Down on the Farm Collection! Yee Haw! This collection is adorable and has so many elements to pick and choose for multiple themes. I have a few friends who love horses so I chose to use a 'horsey' theme for my card and gift box today. It truly makes me smile.

My finished card is an A2 card made from white cardstock. I layered pretty gingham paper and floral paper as my base. I cut out a pocket from one of the 12x12 papers and it was the perfect size for the front of a card. The pillow box can hold candies or money or a gift card. I made that using a punch board.

For the card, I attached the pocket using foam tape around the edges. I tucked in a little paper bandana! I also glued some flowers from the Odds & Ends pack to the inside of the pocket. I tucked in a coffee card too!

For the gift box, I made it from that pretty blue patterned paper and wrapped it with a strip of bandana paper. I used one of the Jelly Clips to embellish the front of the box and to match back to the card.

See how easily the gift card pops into the pocket?!

I put on that adorable Giddy Up Doodle Pop and then the word bubble that says "howdy!" This could be a birthday card, grad card, or any time card!

Here's a close up of the bandana and the flowers, and my paper layers!

That's it for me this time! I hope you're having a wonderful Spring and I hope I've inspired you to make something! I'll see you soon, and until then, keep on crafting!
